Delegation, The Norman
Simowitz County Commission,
and what’s the name of that
charter commission, have been
feeding you, then you get what
you deserve.
A new form of government,
throw out the old city
government, throw out the old
county government, and let’s
form a new one.
B.S. (bunk-slop).
O.K. so form a new one -
with what? Augusta Mayor
Lewis A. Newman has not said
if he will run for the top spot
on the so called new
government, but Richmond
County Commiss ; n Chairman
Norman Simov, ;as already
said he will rw or the top
spot. That is if he suckers all
the BLACK FOLK into it
again, like he did November 7,
1972.
How can it be a new
government with the same
people wanting to run what
they cannot run effectively
now?-
Consolidation, annexation,
reapportionment, or new form
of government, it all adds up to
the same thing, “BREAK UP
THAT BLACK VOTING
STRENGTH IN AUGUSTA.”
Well if you think not, ask
Mr. Sams and Company how a
new form of government will
help us (Black Folk) through
representation? Black Folk
have exactly one representative
on the Richmond County
Delegation, R.A.Dent, Black
Folk have one representative
on the Richmond County
Commission, Ed Mclntyre, and
one representative (sic) on the
Augusta City Council, Carrie J.
Mays - and she is sick now and
considering retiring from her
seat.
Now if Blacks only have
three people representing us in
city, county and state from
Augusta-Richmond County
under the present form of
government, it stands to reason
we will not have that much if a
new form of government is
voted in at the polls May 14th.
Does it not?
If Roy Harris is against this
so called new, throw out the
old, bring in the new type of
government then something
must be wrong. Hell, he has
been against us all of his life
just because of the color of our
skin, like we had some power
on how we were born and
that’s wrong.
BLACK AUGUSTA VOTE
NO!!! What they call
consolidation, is consolidating
white folk. What they call
annexation, is annexing white
folk. What they call a new
form of government is a white
majority. And white majority
is what they do not have in the
city of Augusta, the majority is
“BLACK”, so keep it that way.
And don't let those hand
picked, “NIGGERS” they got
on all these do nothing, never
will do anything but write
letters while you stay broke,
talk a hole in your head. They
only come into your
neiborhood when they want
your vote. Now if you think
not, ask them any one of them
to debate me on the corner of
9th and Gwinnett and you will
see what I am and what they are.
They will not do it. Their
white masters won’t let them.
Hell, I’ll debate whitey, too-
ANYWHERE - if he’s got the
nerve. As a matter of fact I will
offer the challenge to all of
them or one at a time.
DEBATING ON BLACK
REPRESENTATION AND
WHY DON’T WE GET IT?
That goes for mayors,
chairmen, delegations and
especially Mr. Smooth Sams
and Mr. Bob (who tried to
destroy the Feed-A-Kid
program) Beckham. My dear
readers this is a challenge that
will never be challenged.
JOKE OF THE WEEK
Lt. Governor (Guess Who?)
was taking time out from
politicing to have a physical
examination. Upon completion
he asked the doctor, “I’m in a
hurry give me the good news
first, I’U sit on the bad, O.K.
Doc.;”
So the doctor said 0.K.,
here’s the good news, “You are
going to die.” What!!! I’m
going to die and that’s good
news? Well. What is the bad
news Doc? Oh! the bad news is
you have Sickle Cell Anemia.
Yuk,yuk, yuk, yuk,.
Bye ya’ll seek you next
