Lighten the Load!
Two things no female really wants to do in Summer are
carry a heavy kitchen schedule and carry a heavy body
around. Why not lighten both loads simultaneously? Plan a
midsummer diet that takes pounds off you and takes you
out of the kitchen pronto.
Eating light helps you feel cooler, but that’s only half
the solution toward taking off unwanted weight. Eating
right while you lose is equally important. Forget fad diets,
and avoid the starvation
syndrome. A successful diet
is one that gives you all
your nutrients every day,
satisfies your hunger, isn’t
boring and is low enough in
calories to let you lose 2-3
pounds a week. Diet food
should keep you healthy,
should look and taste di
vine-and be easy enough to
prepare so that you don’t
spend hours in a hot kitchen
cooking and measuring. This
sounds like a tall order, but
it’s remarkably easy.
Slender diet food from
Carnation answers all these
needs. First of all, it’s
scientifically formulated so
that one serving supplies
one-quarter of the Recom
mended Daily Allowance of
all nutrients, according to
the latest government stand
ards. This means you can
safely substitute it for one
or more regular meals during
the day. All you stand to
lose is that load of excess
weight! Mixed with 6 oz.
nonfat milk, this mini-meal
has just 164 calories. Mixed
with whole milk br in the
ready-to-drink pull-top can,
it has 225 calories.
Drink it straight, or make
your own quick and easy
“fix-ups” for a change. For
instance, try adding fresh or
canned fruit like this.
