Daggett Dagget Named To Dean’s List Raoul Janus Daggett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Daggett of Augusta, Georgia and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Daggett has been named to the Dean’s List at Kentucky State University for the past semester. He will return to Kentucky State in the fall as a junior majoring in the field of music. Attends Dansforth Workshop Dr. Alandus Johnson, dean of academic affairs at Miles College, has been selected by the Danforth Foundation as one of four faculty and staff members from Miles to participate in the 1975 workshop on Value in Higher Education. It included swimming, karate, drama, arts and crafts, an enrichment program which included such speakers as the Governor’s Crime Prevention Team, Mayor Lewis A. Newman, City Councilwoman Carrie J. Mays, and County Commission Chairman Edward Mclntyre, and ove r 200 adults participated in the program at night. A professional staff of 26 persons, many of whom hold masters degrees, supervised the program. Six water safety instructors operated swimming activities at Jones Pool, headed by Henry Daggett and Norman Bonner. Children involved in swimming were fed feed-a-kid lunches. The rest of the children were served hot lunches at Paine College. Tolbert expressed gratitude for the work of local leaders in getting the program funded. He cited Mclntyre, Mrs. Mays, State Rep. R.A. Dent and George McElveen. On the state level he thanked Gov. George Busbee, Charles Mathis, a Paineite, Curtis Atkinson, Sonny Walker, Sen. Herman Talmadge, Sen.
