Antioch Baptist Church Pastor R.E. Donaldson
Sunday presented a plaque to County Commission
Chairman Edward M. Mclntyre.
The pastor said persons doing outstanding work
should be commended instead of always criticizing
them. “The award is to make people aware of how we
feel about the job he is doing, and perhaps it will
encourage others to do likewise.”
Words Os Life: Bible
Inspiration For The Week
“Every good gift and every
perfect gift is from above, and
cometh down from the Father
of lights” - St. James 1:17
Here we are reminded of
several thoughts. We may relate
them, as we will, to our own
experience. Or, we may ask our
minister to develop them
further in a sermon.
I - God is the supreme giver
and Creator of all life. In this
sense, “Every... gift is from
above.”
II - God’s gifts are g00d...
indeed, they are perfect. God’s
nature is goodness and
perfection.
111 - Whatever God (i.e.,
Life) gives is “the best gift
which God may give to us
under the circumstances of the
hour.” There is night before
each dawn. Perfect gifts are in
store for us... as we remain
alert to the everpresent
opportunities to receive them.
