That’s It!
By Rev. Elliott S. Norman
Did you hear father of our
country? Did you hear the
, ecosystem cry out as you
polluted it with aresol sprays,
decompressed it with filthy
smoke from your factories?
Did you hear the agonizing cry
it gave as your supersonic jets
pierced its molecules? Oh! So
you did hear? Oh, that’s an
excellent idea! Let’s create a
committee to investigate.
There is only one thing wrong
with that, it’s to late. The
ecoysystem is doomed and so
are unless!
Did you hear Christian as
your neighbors baby cried out
in vain for something to eat.
Did you hear as the baby
chewed on her fist or the
hunger pain intensified. Did
you hear her last gasp for
breathe as life terminated her
small body. So you did hear?
What’s that you say; Oh, she !
It’s to late for sympathy cards,
she’s dead and so are unless!
Did you hear, mother and
father, your child isn’t doing so
well in school? What’s that you
say? Spare the rod? O.K. Did
you hear mother and father,
your child has been using
drugs? You won’t spare the rod
this time? Neither will God,
you see mother and father:
Your child is in a coma from
an overdose. He’ll die and so
will unless!
Did you hear! Did you hear!
Did you hear? We are sowing
the seeds of evil. Our lives are
doomed and so are unless?
The world is doomed and so
are we unless we stop
pollution? It’s too late.

Repent? No, it’s already

national and local
organizations working on the
case. The National Wilmington
10 Defense Committee
said that several hundred
churches throughout the
nation observed Wilmington
10 Sunday and boasted of
nearly 55.000 being donated to
the fund by churches in the
Washington, D.C. area over the
past few weeks.
Ms. Imani Kazana, national
coordinator of the defense
committee, said “after
Wilmington 10 Sunday our
Committee will be fully
supportive and mobilizing for a
national march and
demonstration to be held in
Raleigh, North Carolina on
Labor Day, September 6th,
being sponsored and
coordinated by the National
Alliance Against Racist and
Political Repression.” Angela
Davis is co-chairperson of that
group. Continuing, Ms. Kazana
also said, “we are encouraging
everyone - particularly
residents on the East Coast - to
travel to Raleigh and
participate in what should be
the largest demonstration for
civil and human rights in this
decade.” “With thousands of
people on the Governor’s
doorstep, we are sure to make
a significant difference in his
past attitude on granting
commutation and exoneration
for the Wilmington 10.”

The proceeds from the
