announced the promotion of
Terry C. Bibleheimer to
Mortgage Officer.
He joined the C&S Financial
Corporation in 1974 as
assistant manager of the
Augusta Office, and is
currently the manager. Prior to
that time he had been with the
C&S National Bank in Augusta
as a management associate.
Bibleheimer received his
B.A. degree from Florida State
University. He is a past Junior
Achievement advisor, a
member of the Uptown
Kiwanis Club, Vice President
of the Augusta Mortgage
Bankers Association, an

William “Bill” Holmes was
elected the first Black mayor
of Allendale, S.C., on April 13,
1976.
Holmes attended the local
schools in Allendale and
graduated from Voorhees
College in Denmark, S.C. with
a B.S. degree. He served in the
U.S. Air Force with a tour of
duty in England.
Holmes is a member of
various civic organizations in
his community and is
employed as an engineer at
DuPont, Savannah River Plant.

Reid Memorial Presbyterian

Tuesday. Members of the fourth-grade class at Stevens
Elementary School visited the gallery as part of a school
project.

Diary of Adam and Eve” in
observance of Negro History
Month at Murphy Junior High
School recently. The players
were sponsored by the ESAA
Reading Department and the
Social Studies Department of
the school.
The Players very recently
won trophies for their
excellent performances of
“The Diary of Adam and Eve”.

The Augusta College Office
of Continuing Education will
sponsor a oneday workshop
for any woman interested in
starting her own business.
The workshop, entitled
“Women-Do Your Own
Thing,” will be held March 4 in
the lecture room of Butler
They have received first and
fourth place awards in drama
festivals. The group is under
the direction of Wilmagene
Brown. The Pantheramic’s
group is also well known for
“Echoes of a Dream” which
toured many of the larger
cities.
Special guests at the event
included ESAA Junior High
Schools, Mr. Dave Mack Jr.,
assistant superintendent;
representatives from the
Mayor’s office; the county
Hall. The workshop, is
designed for new and
prospective business owners.
