Bob Pennamon is not your

When Pennamon calls, he

Walker sees Augusta’s racial
problem as one in which
whites are asking themselves,
“How much is enough? But,
saying we wanted progress for
Blacks but we didn’t knovV it
would infringe upon our
personal privileges.”
There has always been an
exclusive class, he>'
explained.“ When you
others into that class, we have
the same pie, but less of it.”
Although finding major
shortcomings in local agencies
and institutions where race
relations are concerned,
Walker hopes they will use
their resources to improve the
racial climate. “The fact that
HRC is here and can articulate
the needs and frustrations of
the community at large
justifies its existence. Its
effectiveness is the direct result
of the people involved on the
Commission and those working
for it.”

that it has made outstanding

“When you think of HRC
