University. He was also
commissioned a second
lieutenant in the United States
Army Transportation Corp at

-the juris doctor degree from
.the Walter F. George School of
Law at Mercer University and
was admitted to the State Bar
-Of Georgia. Since 1973, he has
-been engaged in the general
practice of law in Augusta.
Presently he is a captain in the
United States Army Reserves,
<haplain of Psi Omega Chapter
of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Inc., a member of the board of
trustees of the Spirit Creek
Baptist Church, and a member
of the American Bar
Association, the State Bar of
Georgia and the Augusta Bar
Association.
He is married to the former
Dalline Girtman of Macon, Ga.
They have three children.

Mini Theatre elects board members
Mr. J.C. Taylor, board
chairman of the Augusta Mini
Theatre, Inc. announced that
Gwen Cummings, Brenda Dunn
and Kathy Howe were elected
to the board of directors at the
Theatre’s annual Board
meeting January 25. The
meeting was held at Hornsby
Elementary School.
Mrs. Cummings is employed
by the Augusta-Richmond
County Public Library as a
librarian at Wallace Branch
Library, 1237 Laney-Walker
Blvd.
Dunn and Eowe are both
employed at the local
Comprehensive Employment
and Training Consortium, as an
Administrator Assistant and a
Monitor Evaluator,

Ms. Adams, Arts
Co-ordinator, informed the
board that the theatre served
150 youths the fall quarter
1977, in modern dance I and
11, ballet I, creative dramatics,
play rehearsal and counseling.
She also reported that 223
youths are enrolled for this
quarter (winter).

at Bennett College for Women,
Greensboro, N.C., was recently
recognized for outstanding
academic achievement. She was

announced for Friday, Feb. 10,
by Congressman Doug Barnard.
Scheduled for Augusta.

Pastor’s Aid Circle
has Ist anniversary
The First Anniversary of
The Pastor’s Aid Circle of
Galilee Missionary Baptist

celebrated on Sunday, Feb. 12,

The anniversary sermon will
