friends will meet at the Faith
Temple Church of God in
Christ at 618 S. Washington St.
in Dublin Aug. 28 through
Sept. 3.
Bishop R.D. Fields will
preside over the 13th annual
Holy Convocation of the
churches of God in Christ of
East Central Georgia
Jurisdiction, Inc. He will be
assisted by Bishop J.B.
Roberson, of Columbia, S.C.
Churches from as far as New
York will be represented in the
convocation. Evangelist Bishop
Baby Stokes, of Lynchbug, Va.
will be the main speaker.
Different districts will be on
the program each night.
A joint water baptism will
be held Sept. 3 at 10 a.m. at
Dent’s Undertaking

Concert to aid
Hamilton
campaign
Dr. Jesse Douglas of Kansas
City, Mo. will appear in
concert Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
at Tabernacle Baptist Church
on behalf of the Hamilton For
Mayor Campaign.
Dr. Douglas has traveled
throughout the U.S. as a soloist
in gospel concerts.
The Augusta Mass Choir will
assist Dr. Douglas.
The public is invited.
