Seek continually!—l Chronicles 16:11
/. Get Outside Os Your
self! Mental illness involves
essentially the creation of a
world of one’s own where
“realities” are known alone
to you and are hidden from
others.
Good mental health means
reaching beyond oneself to a
“shared world” where others
may relate to us... and we to
them.
2. Grow! In the springtime
and in the summer, plants
grow by “seeking”; they are
stretching their muscles.
They are reaching for the
sun.

Few among our readers, if
any, will recall the name of
one John Sweeney, a famous
poet and hymn writer of the
past century. They will re
member, however, some of
the unforgettable words he
has written.
In one hymn he tells us, in
a most happy way, of the
wealth, the good and glory,
which are already ours. To
some, the words are quaint.
But their message is distinctly
clear. In “O Beulah Land,”
John Sweeney writes:
I’ve reached the land of corn
and wine
And all its riches freely mine;
Here shines undimmed one
blissful day,

day. The “Sun of Righteous
ness rises continually, with
healing in His wings.”
3. We Are Bound To Win!
The Scriptures tell us to seek
and that we shall find.. .and
for good reason I It is only by
keeping our eyes open and
our minds alert that we find
every opportunity to help
others and to help ourselves.
In salesmanship, without
seeking, we are lost. The
same holds true in finding a
good wife or husband or a
friend. When we seek, God
says that “we find.”
Brethren, “Seek continu
ally!”
RICHES... FREELY
For all my night has passed
away.
O Beulah Land, sweet
Beulah Land
As on thy highest mount I
stand,
I look away across the sea,
Where mansions are
prepared for me.
And view the shining glory
shore,
My heaven, my home,
forevermore!
In Isaiah 62:4, the Lord
speaks of Beulah as the land
in which he finds delight and
which he has prepared for
those who love and serve
Him.

The Augusta News-Review - October 31, 1978
“DOZIER’S VIEWS”
Continued from Page 4
the most backward social views
that exist today.
Mr. Henry Grant’s views are
the same. He said that parents
would use the breakfast to
dump their responsibilities on
board of education, and that
the schools where 50 percent
of the kids are getting free
lunches are the schools where
the people that are on welfare
and food stamps sends their
children.
These Board members
dislike anything that would
benefit working people and the
poor. They are for anything
that would benefit the bankers
and the upper classes.
The situation in Hephzibah
schools does not have to exist.
There are state and federal
funds that can possibly be used
to build a new lunch room at
the schools there. We know for
a fact that USDA funds could
be used to buy kitchen
equipment, tables, chairs and
utensils.
The Board of Education
does not want the people to
have better schools and our
children a better education.
The bond issue would have
benefited the bankers more
than our children. It would be
them that would buy the bond
not the working people of this
county who would pay for it.
The Act of Congress that made
the Breakfast Program possible,
states that it should be in the
schools where the needs are the
greatest, that is in schools
where 25 percent of the
household’s income falls below
the poverty level.
The Congress of the USA is
not a socialist congress, but is
trying to work in the interest
of education and the children
of this country and it would be
very good if our board of
education president do the
same.
We thank the members of
the board of education that
voted for the Breakfast
Program and the children of
Richmond County.
