•1 11 things work together for good.' ’
—Romans 8:28
/. Does evil work for good?
We are told that “all things”
work together for good. It is
not what happens to us that
counts but how we see God’s
hand at work instructing us
Some things which seem like
evil are expressions of feelings
which so many of us find it
difficult to utter in coherent
and in “socially acceptable”
ways.
2. God is always doing
good things for us. Nothing
which God does for us is, in
and of itself, bad or evil or
unjust. God and goodness
are one; and ail that God
does has good at the heart
even when unexposed on the
surface.
3. Whatever God gives is
the best possible. God takes
good things from us that the
better things He has in store
may be realized or experi
enced in our lives. Thus our
confidence must always be
that God is forever doing and
preparing for us far better
things than we deserve or
even dare dream of.
“We know that all things
work together for good for
those who are called accord
ing to His purpose.”
