Casket Proposals
The CSRA Employment and Training Consortium invites interested parties to
submit price proposals for the purchase of Caskets made by CETA participants.
The Caskets are made of gauge cold rolled metal. They are assembled by arc
welds and ground to perfection with 80 grit power sanders. The tops are fused
and bonded with a quality epoxy. All Caskets are covered with a surface
emolliet or primer and is painted with a lacquer based paint with two coats of
hot lacquer acrylic to reflect a high gloss finish. There is a total of 50 Caskets
up for bid: Five (5) green non-sealers; Five (5) Coppertone non-sealers; Four
(4) Blue non-sealers; Two (2) Copper & White non-sealers; Four (4) Smoke
Gray non-sealers; Seven (7) Light Gray non-sealers; Two (2) Blue & White
non-sealers; One (1) Black sealer caulk; and Twenty (20) sealers in process.
It is suggested that prospective bidders quote a fixed-price in writing to the
Adninistrator of the CSRA Employment and Training Consortium, 1261
Greene Street, Augusta, Georgia 30902, no later than 4:30 P.M. on July 15,
1979. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes (either by mail or in
person). Only those submitted in sealed envelopes will be considered.
Bidswill be opened publicly and examined on July 18, 1979, 3:00 P.M. at the
above address.
Questions regarding any aspect of the invitation or deadline should be directed
to the Administrator or Deputy Administrator of the CSRA Consortium.

designed to prepare him for

the Navy’s 85 basic

Two men involved in a
shoot-out Sunday night at
Elam’s Garage, 1296 Jones St.,
are both listed in fair
condition, a University
Hospital spokesman said.
Robert Elam, 35, owner at
the garage, was admitted to the
hospital in critical condition
after being wounded in the
chest and abdomen. He was
removed from the intensive
care unit Thursday, the
spokesman said.
