Mature men don 't want mature women?
Dear Barbara:
Why is it that the mature men in Augusta are not
interested in mature women? We are over 30 and we
are not interested in tying anyone down. We work,
buy homes, and make a contribution to the com
munity, so why can’t we find men of our own age to
show us the attention we need?
Mature Women of South Augusta
Dear Mature Women:
It seems to me that the mature men in Augusta fit
into some strange molds. They are either wed, unfed
or dead! They don’t want the challenge of a woman
who can stand head to head with them. Now this is
my opinion. There is no doubt in my mind that
there’s at least one man out there who will disagree.
Maybe we will hear from him.

Ask Barbara
Dear Barbara:
I rent a house in Augusta and I’m having problems
getting the man who owns the house to do the
necessary repairs. For instance, my water in the
bathroom runs all the time and I can’t keep the place
warm except by putting towels around the windows
and doors to keep the cold air out.
I’ve called him about these things, but he doesn’t
do anything about the problem. Is there some way I
can get him to do the repairs? I can’t afford to move.
Cold Inside
Dear Cold:
The state of Georgia has an agency that can give
you the advice that you need and it can also give you
your Rights as a tenant. The state will also refer you
the proper channels to assist in getting the repairs
done.
But remember this agency also serves the renter.
You can reach tne Geogia Tie Line by calling Toll
Free 1-800-4900. Good Luck.
Letters should be addressed to Ask
Barbara, Augusta News-Review,
P.O. Box 953, Augusta 30903.
