Removing false images to see the true church
by Bro. R. Williams
Approximately 2,000
years ago, Jesus enunciated
to the world at Caesarea
Philippi, “Upon this rock, I
will build my church.” Ever
since this sacred
proclamation, the devil and
his angels have been en
deavoring to destroy
Christ’s church, hide and
confuse Christ’s church,
blot out Christ’s church.
Six days later after this
sacred proclamation, Peter
on the top of the Mount of
Transfiguration, in com
plicity with Satan, said,
“Lord, it is good for us to
be here. Let us build three
churches.” (Matthew 17:4).
Don’t you see that Satan
is endeavoring to destroy
the true image of Christ’s
church? Satan and his
angels have so covered the
image of the true church up
with traditions, opinions,
church councils, man-made
doctrines, Satanic concoc
ted innovations, anything
will-do-isms that the honest
seeker after God’s eman
cipating truth finds himself
lost in the whirlwind of so
many churches.
I speak as a disturbed
man —disturbed like Elijah
when he battled with the
450 prophets of Baal, the
idol god. How long will you
stand and halt between two
opinions—disturbed like
Jesus Christ when his
Father’s house was being
corrupted into a den of
thieves and whipped them
out of his Father’s house.
Disturbed like Abraham
Lincoln when he said,
“This nation cannot endure

Disturbed like Fredrick

Disturbed like mighty
Moses as he stood before

disturbed because Satan

deliberately set out to give
men and women distorted
concepts, deranged and
confused images of Christ’s
church in order to prevent
them from recognizing the
one, true church. *
Church Not A Building
The building is the place
where the church meets.
The church is the body of
Christ (Ephesians 1:22) and
the members make up the
body.
“Now ye are members of

members in particular (2
Corinthians 12:27). The
devil had confused the

ted concept is eradicated, we
can move forward and do

The church is not a
denomination. This word
means division. God detests
division (Corinthians 1:10).
The church was
established, and lived for
nearly 600 years before the
first denomination was
established. All spiritual
blessings are in Christ Jesus
and not in any denomina

I know of a number of
congregations that were not
recorded in their state’s
history until they were in
corporated, but had
previously been in existence
for five, ten and 15 years. I
know some Christians who
were baptized into Christ
before 1906. If the church
started in 1906 then Mark
9:1 is wrong when it teaches
that it should start in the
days of the apostles, and
the other passages about it
starting in Jerusalem, not
America, are wrong. I don’t
know about you, but I must
stand with God’s holy
word.
