One-man exhibit at A. C.

tment at Augusta College
will sponsor a one-man
exhibit of sculpture and
drawings by North Carolina
artist Timothy G. Murray
23 Paine students
in 1983 ‘Who’s Who’
The 1983 edition of
Who’s Who Among
Students in American
universities and colleges will
carry the names of 23
students from Paine
College.
Campus nominating
committees and editors of
the annual directory have
included the names of these
students based on their
academic acheivement, ser
vice to the community,
leadership in ex
tracurricular activities and
future potential.
They join an elite group
of students selected from
more than 1,300 institutions
of higher learning in all 50
states, the District of
Columbia and several
foreign nations.

requirements for a master’s
degree in creative arts at the
same institution.
His work has been viewed
widely in North Carolina
and throughout the
southeast. In September,
Murray’s work titled
“Passthrough” was one of
three selected for purchase
by Northern Telecom Inc.
at the annual Exhibit of
North Carolina Sculpture
held at Research Triangle
Park near Chapel Hill. For
ty-six N.C. sculptors sub
mitted 63 works for the
competition.
During this past year, he
has had a one-person show
of drawings and sculpture
at the Pickens (S.C.) Coun
ty Art Museum, a two
person show at the Rudloph
E. Lee Gallery, College of
Architecture, Clemson
University; a three-person
show at the Coltrane Art
Center, and was named as
one of five finalists for
Pack Square, Asheville,
N.C. Sculpture Contest.
Murray is a member of
the board of directors of the
Southern Sculptor’s
Association.

Association at its national
convention in Toronto,

tunities, scholarships and
