Mack-Hadley wedding
A brilliant event of the
early spring social season
was the April 9,
marriage of Miss
Stephanie Belinda Mack,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Dave Mack Jr., and Mr.
Wayne Ferriel Hadley,
son of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Hadley Jr.
A wedding of quiet
elegance with nostalgia,
sweetness and charm
marked the ceremony
held in the magnificient
Gilbert-Lambuth Chapel
at Paine College. The
stately arrangements of
white gladioli, white
pompoms and pink car
nations, laced with
Spengeri, culminating
with a beautiful floral
arch under which the
couple took their vows,
transformed the Paine
College’s Gilbert Lam
buth Chapel into a
veritable bower of
loveliness.
The ceremony,
presided over by the Rev.
Gene R. Dean, began
with the lighting of the
candles by the two
acolytes, Kelvin Griffin
and Benjamin Williams.
A program of pre
nuptial music played by
the organist, Ms.
Christine Crockett, and
selections were rendered
by Mr. Raoul Dagget of
Washington, D.C., son
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Daggett of Augusta.
Given in marriage by
her father, the bride wore
her mother’s wedding
gown of antique satin
with a sweetheart
