Stolkin 1984, represen
ting Stolkin Temple 22,
and Stolkin Court 173.
The daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James
McClerklin, she is a
sophomore at Augusta
College. The pageant was
held at A.R. Johnson
Health Professional
School. The annual
Talent and Scholarship
Pageant is one of many
charitable and com
munity oriented projects
of the Prince Hall
Shriners.
First runner-up was
Ms. Katonya Stokes, the
daughter of the Rev. and
Mrs. Charles Stokes.
Second runner-up was
Ms. Elizabeth Williams,
the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Luke Williams.
The contestants com
peted in swim wear,

talent and intellectual
functioning.
The judges were Don
nell Jones, sports anchor
for WRDW-TV 12,
Yvonne Shaw, a local
Richmond County
educator, and Truma
Polin, a member of the
South Carolina Trade
Association Advisory
Board.
Ms. McClerklin will
represent the local
shriners at the State
Pageant to be held in

The wedding will take
place 5:30 June 30 at
Paine College Gilbert-
Lambuth Chapel. Miss
Brown is a graduate of
Langley-Bath-Clearwater
in Bath S.C. She is a
graduate of Bennett
College, a member of the
Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Inc.
Savannah, May 5.
The winner of the state
pageant will represent
Georgia at the nationals
in Detroit Aug. 20-24.
She is an instruttor for
the Columbia County
School System. She is the
granddaughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Brown Sr. of Augusta
and the late Mr. and Mrs.
English Weston Sr. of
Columbia.
Sargeant Bryant is a
graduate of Fayetteware,
Sommerville, Tenn. He is
the grandson of Mrs.
Pricilla Hobson and the
late Mr. Raymond Hob
son of Sommerville and
Mrs. Mattie Bryant and
the late Mr. John Bryant
of Somerville.
