Ann Johnson
plans gala
fashion show
“Ann N. Johnson and
Company” is planning a
gala fashion production
for April 29 at the
Augusta-Richmond Coun
ty Civic Center. This will
be the second annual
event sponsored by the
fashion show ensemble to
benefit the Paine College-
United Negro College
Fund.
Mrs. Johnson,
assistant to the vice
president for Ad
ministrative and Fiscal
Affairs at Paine College,
started organizing
fashion shows about 10
years ago to assist her
church group with fund
raising efforts.
Some 60 fashions
designed and created by
Mrs. Johnson will be
modeled. Commentator
for the show will be Mrs.
Audrey Wood, assistant
principal at the Heph
zibah Middle School.
Mrs. Wood’s unique ap
proach to fashion
narration will focus on
“fashion concepts,” or
the interaction of gar
ments and accessories to
create a mood.
The Tickets are $lO
and may be purchased
through the Business Of
fice at the College, or at
the door on the day of the
show. All proceeds will
benefit the Paine College-
UNCF.
