a little over a year ago 1 startod to take
Peruna, nnd at tho prosont timo I am
bottcr than I havo boon for twouty yoars.
‘•The soreness has left my stomach
entirely and I am free from Indigestion
and dyspepsia and will say to all who
are troubled with catarrh or stomach
trouble of any kind, don't put It off
and suffer, but begin to take Peruna
right away, and keep It up until you
are cured, as you surely will be If you
persevere,
“My wife,as many in tho southwest
can say, was troubled with a bad cough
and bronchial trouble, and doctors all
over tho country gavo hor up to die, as
they could do nothing moro for hor.
She began taking Peruna with thorosult
that sho is hotter now than sho has boon
in years, and her cough lias almost loft
hor ontiroly. Tho soreness has loft her
lungs and sho is as woll as sho ovor was
in hor lifo, with thanks, as sho says, to
Peruna. Yours very truly,
T. P. Moody.
Catarrh assumes many forms and at

Baking
Powder
Economy
The manufacturers of Royal
Baking Powder have always declined
to produce a cheap baking powder
at the sacrifice of quality.
The Royal is made from the
most highly refined and wholesome
ingredients, and is the embodiment
of all the excellence possible to be
attained in the highest class baking
powder.
Royal Bakina; Powder costs only
a fair price, and is cheaper at its
price than any similar article.
Samples of mixtures made in imitation oi baking
powders, but containing alum, are frequently dis
tributed from door to door, or given away in
grocery stores. Such mixtures are dangerous
to use in food, and in many cities- their sale is
prohibited by laiv. Alum is a corrosive poison, and
all physicians condemn baking powders containing it.

i BERMUDA GRASS.
Best .Method of Cultivating and liar,
vesting the Same.
Qukstions.—Wo have 150 noros ol
good meadow bind in Greouo county, 00
or 75 acres of which aro woll soddod to
Bormuda. Tho remainder is uot
cleared, and is oovorod with some big
tixses nnd heavy undergrowth nnd a lit.
tlo cuno. Bermuda boilig indigenous to
tho soil, wo boliovo that wo would only
havo to clean up tho land nml oultivato
it a year or two boforo It would bo n«
good liny land as ouc would want. Tlih
lnnd is all subject to overflow, and we
would bo pleased to lmvo your ndvioo.
1. Will it bo hotter to lot tho grass ro-
main, cultivate it, and improve it, or to
plant tlio land iu corn ?
3. If wo lot tho grass romnin, what it
tho best method of cultivating Bermuda
grass on this kind of land?
8. If wo havo an overflow just whoa
tho grass is ready to out, is It bottor to
cat it as soon as tho water recedes and
tho ground is hard enough and give the
now crop a quick start, or try to make
hay of tho grass that was overflowed?
4. Is grass that 1ms boon ovorflowod
and cut ns soon ns tho water is off good
for anything?
AsswEits.—1. Knowing tho reputa
tion of Greouo county for grassos aiid
tho largo yiold of Bermuda grass hay,
wo do not hesitnto to oxpross tho opin
ion that If your laud Is woll sot with
Bermuda it Is worth ns much perhaps
ns any other orop that onu bo grown ou
it. Wo aro borno out in tills opinion V
tho Rov. O. W. Hownrd, a recognized
authority on grnRsos. Wo would sug.
gost that you lot tho 00 or 75 acres al
ready sodded remain iu Bormuda. Clear
tho remaining aoros of mendow laud. It
might bo well to put thorn in corn for
ono or two years. If, howover, yon are
ablo to remove tho stnmpsnt onco, it
might bo boft6r to uso tho wholo 160
acres of mendow laud for Bermuda at
3. Tho best way to oultlvnto Bormuda
gram that is already soddod is to plow,
roll nnd Bmootli your laud, so that it
may bo as ovon ns possiblo. A good fer
tilizer for Bormuda grass Is ordinary
oottonsoed meal, whloh contains from 10
to 1-1 par oeat of phosphoric aold, 3 to
per cent of Ammonia and 3 to 8 per cent
or potash. Tho best oompost Is made
from barnyard maaaro, aold phosphate
and koinit.
3 and 4. In odso of tho ovorflow of
grass by wator wo havo this to say: II
the overflowing water remains only a
short whilo thoro will bo no inntorlal
damago, if the grass Is not left soiled
aud muddy, but, if the wator remains a
day or two aud leaves tho grass dirty, it
wUl not in that condition bo good for
stock unless it bo run through
corn shredder, which will remove the
dust and dirt to a groat oxteat. But, ii
after a f.w days’ waiting, a good rain
should wash tho grass dean, it wouM
make good hay after all. Howover, ll
is generally host to oat grass that has
been overflowed soon after tho wator re
cedes and the land dries out. In uo cass
would wo mix hay whloh has boon over
flowed with a orop of undamaged hay.—
