The SO-foot street through the Vann property from Herbert to Noyes street has been located,and is now being graded for public travel. The citizens of the First Ward held an important meeting Monday, and unanimously placed in nomination Mr. C. W. Smith as alderman from that ward. Mr. Smith is one of Ce dartown’s most substantial and pro gressive citizens, nnd the ward has certainly made a good selection Mr. Will J. Vance and Miss Mary Jones wero united in marriage Sun day at the home of the bride’s father, Mr. F. P. Jones, near Young’s, the ceremony being performed by Rev, C. K. Henderson. The groom is a clever young man and the bride popular youug lady, aud their many triends congratulate them most heartily on their union. Mr. E.A. Lowry nnd his charming bride arrived in the city Friday evening, nnd are gladly welcomed and warmly congratulated by many friends. Their wedding last Thins- j day evening at Chunnenuggeo, Mr was a brilliant social event. Ala. and Mrs. Lowry are at present at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Lowry, but will he at home to their friends after Dec. 1st at the Philpot House.
