Barr came up Friday evening from Atlanta, haviug been summoned by a message announcing the last illness of his grandmother, Mrs. Arabella Lockhart. He re turned Tuesday to Atlanta. A bouncing baby boy arrived Tuesday in the home of Dr. and Mrs. T. B. Garlington, nee Miss Flora Peek, In Borne. Their many Cedartown friends send hearty con gratulations. Mr. and Mrs. John B. Hogg, who live just east of town, have the sym pathy of their many friends over the loss Saturday morning oftheir bright little four-year-old daughter. The remains were tuken to Lake Creek for interment. Bev. F. L. McFadden and Mr. J. E. Good left this morning to attend the session of the Cherokee Presby tery at Chickamauga. On account of the absence of the pastor, there will be no services at the Presbyte rian church Sunday. All parties who have not paid their box rents at the postoffice by the 10th day of each quarter, will have to call at the general delivery window for their mail, as no mail will be put in their private boxes unless they are paid for by that time. Mr. Darden Borders, who has been sick at the home of Col. and Mrs. B. W. Everett near Shades, has suffi ciently recovered to return home to the city. Mr. James H. Brett has sold his interest in the McDonald-Brett Fur niture Company to the other mem bers of that excellent firm, and is no longer connected with that estab lishment. Mr. Brett is a po; ular young gentleman and has made many friends in Cedartown since his residence here, who hope that he will engage in some business in our city. Cedartown ladies will enjoy a pleasant treat today and tomorrow in visiting the millinery openings at the big stores of Messrs. Isadore Scheuer and A. C. Cobb. At the former, Miss Janie Hood will be as sisted by Miss Lily Horun, and at the latter Miss Lou Morgan will be assisted by Mrs. Cal Dodds. Mrs. Frederick, assisted by Misses Martin and Turner, will have her opening next Tuesday and Wednesday. All are accomplished and artistic mil liners, ami the lady will indeed be hard to please who cannot find some thing to suit her at one of these stores.
