It has gain ed a world wide reputation by Its re markable cures to this most common ailment, and can always be depended upon. It acts on nature’s plan, re lieves the lungs, aids expectoration, opens the secretions and aids nature In restoring the system to a healthy condition. During the manyy years in which it has been in general use we have yet to learn of a single case of cold or attack of the grip having resulted In pneumonia when this rem edy was used, which shows conclusi vely that It is a certain preventive of that dangerous disease. Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy contains no opium or , . . . , . . _ other narcotic and may be given as 1 Painful and torturous disease, but dan- confidently to a baby as to an adult J gerous to life, this simple recipe will For salae by Russell Drug Co. i no doubt be greatly valued by many sufferers here at horn ASK US TO PRINT IT. These harmless ingredients can be obtained from our home druggists, and are easily mixed by shaking them well In a bottle. Relief Is generally felt from the first few doses. This prescription, states a well- known authority In a Cleveland morn ing paper, forces the clogged-up, in active kidneys to filter and strain from the blood the poisonous waste matter and uric acid, which causes Rheumatism. As rheumatism Is not only the most COTTON WAREHOUSE (ERTIIT- CATE8. The clearing house certificates J which have bet n Issued throughout j the country have proven a God send i at this time, when a sufficient volume j of money is unobtainable to meet the j demands of commerce. The banks, In deciding to resor. to this well-known and oft-tried fin ancial expedient, have ext mb d Rid to all lines of business. A medium o exchange Is ne ded; something to lake the place of money in bills and meet ing the ordinary demands of trade. This the certificates do In a most satisfactory way. Backt d as they are by gilt-edge securities and having be hind them the combined cred.t of tlK banks entering the agreement, they are freely accepted and ja.s as cur rency. , • At Cedartown a.id Rockmart, re cently, business men met w.t i the bankers and secured the assurance of the latter that every aid would be tended to the cot.on grower to hold his cotton for a fair price and not sa crifice it during the present period of temporary depression. Every dol lar that can be spared by the bnnks will go to the aid of farmers. Other communlttiH throughout the south should take similar action In the ef fort to aid the'man who is most vi tally affected by the existing money shortage. A suggestion contained In a card published In Sunday’s Constitution from John I. Full wood, of Cedartown, shows how various southern communi ties might enter into an agreement to further aid the farmer. He sayB: When the banks in any son*hern town reach their limit of loan.; on cotton, why not call together the farmers, warehousemen, merchant s and bankers, Issue certificates on cot ton and agree to accept them at par? The real essential requirement of any security used ns a basis for cur rency, or certificates, which will pais as currency, Is its quality of being readily converted Into cash. In this respect cotton meets every requ’re- ment. It can be Instantly sold In any market In the world and ut nny time of the year. It has a real, per manent, tangible value which can nev er be destroyed. Certificates based upon cotton, In sured and store d In a warehouse, are as much an evidence of real wealth as national bank currency. By com mon agreement they could circulate In any city or town where the need of a circulating medium Is felt, and cer tificates so Issued would be as good os gold. The details of the plan could be worked out easily. The amount of cotton necessary to insure absolute se curity could be decided. Even If It were deemed best to advance only 5 cents on cotton quoted at 10 or 11 cents, that plan would furnish enough certificates to pay ordinary dpbts un til conditions righted themselves and the world’s demand for the staple put up the price to a point where It could be sold at a fair profit. In- a word, the national and state banks have devised a plan of which the vast cotton Industry of the south could take advantage for the protect ion of themselves and for the benefit of the whole country.—Constitution.
