Deafness Cannot be Cured
5y local applications, as they cannot
.*each the diseased portion of the ear.
There Is only one way to cure deaf
ness, and that is by constitutional
remedies. Deafness is caused by an
inflamed condition of the mucous lin
ing of the Eustachian Tube. When
this [lube is Inflamed you have a rum
bling sound or imperfect hearing,and
when It is .entirely closed, deafeness
is the result, and unless the inflam
mation can be taken out and this
tub©, restored to its normal condition,
hearing will Le destroyed forever;
nine cases out of ten are caused by
Catarrh, which is nothing but an in
flamed condition of the mucous sur
faces.
We will give One Hundred Dollars

catarrh) that cannot be cured by

The hardest work some men do is
dodging it.
The real Santa Claus must have
come straight from his toy-shop to
pose for the cover which J. C. Leyen-
decker has painted for the Christ
mas number of The Circle. Printed
in four colors, it is one of the most
attractive covers of the holiday seas
on. The cover, however, is but an in
troduction to a wealth of Yule-tide
good things, for The Circle celebrates
its first Christmas right royally.

Girlhood and Scott’s Emulsion are
linked together.
The girl who takes Scott’s Emul
sion has plenty of rich, red blood; she is
plump, active and energetic.
The reason is that at a period when a girl’s
digestion is weak, Scott’s Emulsion
provides her with powerful nourishment in
easily digested form.
It is a food that builds and keeps up a
girl’s strength.

RECIPE MIXED OFTEN.
Some remarkable stories are being
told about town and among the coun
try people coming in of this simple
home-made mixture curing Rheuma
tism and Kidney trouble. Here is
the recipe and directions for tak
ing: Mix by shaking well In a boD
tie one-half ounce Fluid Extract Dan
delion, one ounce Compound Kargon,
three ounces Compound Syrup Sarsa
parilla. Take as a dose one teas-
poonful after meals and at bediiwe.
No change need be made in jour
usual diet, but drink plenty of good
water.
This mixture, writes one author ty
in a leading Philadelphia newspaper,
has a peculiar tonic effect upon the
kidneys; cleaning the clogged up
pores of the eliminative tissues, forc
ing the kldneyB to sift and strain
from the blood the uric acid and other
poisonous waste matter, overcoming
Rheumatism, Bladder and Urinary
troubles in a short while.
A New York druggist who has had
hundreds of calls for these ingredients
since the first announcement in the
newspapers last October stated that
the people who once try it “swear by
it,” especially those who have Urinary
and Kidney troubles and suffer with
Rheumatism.
The druggists in this neighborhood
say they can supply the ingredients,
which are easily mixed at home.
There is said to be no better blood
cleansing agent or system tonic
known, and certainly none more
harmless or simple to use.
It is easy to smile while you are

who can keep right on smiling while
losing.

Cedartowti’s postal receipts have
almost reached the limit fixed by

Mr. Robert O. Burke, Einora, N.

Foley’s Kidney Lure I had to get up
from twelve to twenty times a night,
and I was all bloated up with drop
sy and my eyesight was so Impaired
I could scarcely see one of my fami

hope of living, when a friend rec

before I had taken the third bottle
the dropsy had gone, as well as all
other symptoms of Bright’s disease.”

In case of a burn or scald what
would you do to relieve the pain?
Such injuries are liable to occur in
any family and everyone should be
prepared for them. Chamberlain’s

The December American Magazine
is really extraordinary In importance

flurry, and the whispered denuncia

cance.

TO-DAY’S STRENUOUS LIFE.
The stress and strain of this stren
uous age tend towards stomach troub
les. Five people suffer to-day where
one did ten years ago with sick head
ache, dizziness, flatulence, specks be
fore the eyes, bloating, nervousness,
sleeplessness, and the many other
symptoms of indigestion.
To relieve all stomach troubles
nothing else Is as safe and effective
as Mi-o-na. It is not a mere diges
tive taken after eating, but a true tonic
stimulant and strengthener for the
muscular walls of the stomach, in
creasing the natural digestive fluids
and putting the stomach into such
condition that it does the work
Nature expets of it.
So positive are the curative powers
of Ml-o-na in stomach troubles that
