Washington, March 23d.—A sort
of “Cedartown reunion” was held at
the , Army and Navy Club here Wed
nesday afternoon when Maj. General
Peter C. Harris, the Adjutant Gen
eral of the army, assembled several
of his old Georgia friends at lunche
on. General Harris was host to Dr.
Henry M. Hall, of Cedartown; Lieu
tenant Colonel Party Jones, of the
same Georgia city; William E. Sims
and James Lampton, formerly of Ce
dartown but now living in Washing
ton.
Mr. Lampton was formerly mayor
of the Georgia city, and so was Dr.
Hall, who still lives there.
Others at the luncheon were Brig
adier General Robert E. Noble, Sen
ator Wm. J. Harris, a brother of the
hoBt; Cranston Williams, of Grecnes-
boro, secretary to the Senator, and
Theodore Tiller.
General Harris, following his re
tirement from the nctive list of the
army, will leave Washington for
Europe April 8th, and decided to en
tertain his old Cedartown friends be
fore his departure. Many Georgia
stories wcr. swapped at the delight
ful luncheon.
