Common Sense
About Eczema
and Eruptions!
Here** Something About S. S.S.
That You’ll Be Glad to Hear.
Tou might just ns well know It right
now,—tho cause of skin eruptions,
pimples, blackheads, bolls and so on,
is right in the blood. Thefe is no get

it. We prove it. You can prove it.
When the cause of skin troubles and

mon sense to simply treat the skin.
A bottle of S. S. S. will prove to you
what is happening in your blood. S.S.S.
is a scientific blood cleanser,—it drives
out the impurities which cause eczema,
tetter, rash, pimples, boils, blackheads,
blotches and other skin eruptions.
When these impurities are driven out,
you can’t stop several very nice things
from happening. Your lips turn nat
urally rosy. Your eyes sparkle, your
complexion clears. It becomes beau
tiful. Your face looks like that of a
prosperous, ruddy, well-fed, refined
gentleman, or if you are a woman,
your complexion becomes the real kind
that the whole world so admires. S.S.S.
is also a powerful body-builder, be
cause it builds new and more blood-
cells. That’s why it fills out sunken
cheeks, bony necks, thin limbs, helps
regain lost flesh. It costs little to
have this happen to you. S. 8. S. Is
sold at all drug stores, in two sizes.
■The larger size is the more economical.

A prominent politician, although
a Scotsman, relates a story against
himself and his fellow countrymen.
While on a visit to the Canary Isl

and inquired of an official, "Are there
many Scotsmen in these parts?" "Not
many,” was the reply. "Just a few,
but aulte enough.”

BEING HALF WELL
AND BEING WELL
Being half well is when your sys
tem easily gives way to ills of the Liv
er and Kidneys. Its when you are
suffering from Nervousness, Dizzi
ness, Tired Feeling, Lame Back, Uric
Acid Poison, Loss of Weight, Swell
ing of the Joints and Limbs—you are
not down ’tis true, but you are only
half well—you lack the vitality of a
well person. Your blood needs to be
enriched so that it can throw off ac
cumulated poisons.Being well is when
you feel fresh after a day’s work,
when the mind is active, when the
body is full of pep and vitality.

LETTER FROM ATLANTA.
Dear Mr. Russell: I am glad to see
so much good news of local polites in
The Standard. With Wm, J. Harris in
the U. S.Senate, Gordon Lee rtfr'Con-
gress, W. W. Mundy for State Sen
ate and Dfr. C. W. Peek for the Leg
islature, I feel that nominations
should close. While others in Wash
ington are fighting over the shucks,
Harris and Lee are bagging the corn
and bringing home the bacon. I often
ask my friends here in Atlanta to
point out a single instance in which
Senator Harris has had as much of a
chance as a one-legged man at a foot
ball game, where he has failed to
deliver the goods.” The thing to be
appreciated by their constituency is
that they are not too big to serve the
humblest and big enough to serve the
nation. As to W. W. Mundy, his ef
forts at ideal legislation and his well
known ability to press the same to n
successful conclusion, assure, his e-
lection to the State Senate without
opposition, and with Dr. C. W. Peek
entrenched in the hearts of so large
acquaintance and his well known
ability to honorably and efficiently
represent the people in the Legisla
ture, I cannot conceive of any pos
sible combination of political factors
capable of his defeat. Not knowing
the Doctor’s opponent, Mr. Partee, I
would not be understood to speak of
his candidacy slightly. For aught I
know he is in every respect the Doc
tor’s equal. However, if that be true,
I shall expect to hear of one of the
closest races ever run in old Polk.
Any way, I repeat that irrespective of
any and all political or social lines,
with W. J. Harris in the U. S. Senate,
Gordon Lee in Congress, W. W Mun
dy in the State Senate, nnd Dr. C. W.
Peek in the Legislature, that all who
ever sipped the waters of the Big
Spring or the famous Euharlee could
point with pride to the representa
tives of Polk county.
Yours truly
J W. BREWER.
