Association at Concord.
The Primitive Baptist Asso¬
ciation convened with Concord
church last week with about
twenty churches represented.

Death of att Old Negro.
Uncle Dock Wade*, one of the
oldest negroes in the country,
died Saturday night and was
buried here Sunday, a very large
concourse of his race witnessing
the burial ceremonies. Uncle
Dock was known by everybody
about Adel and was one of those
ignorant but honest old ante¬
bellum darkies and never as¬
pired to any position higher
than a servant’s place with some
good white family. His age was
not definitely known lint be was
certainly an octogenarian. Peace
to his ashes.
