To The Foils Tuesday.
There has been ft great deal of
Campaigning done this year.
Bryan and Roosevelt have been
the hardest workers, The coun¬
try has been toured from ocean
tb ocean from Mexico to Cana-
j counter cliar-
(la. Charges and
ge8 have been made repeatedly.
Imperialism and expansion have
been the mighty issues involved
In the campaign. The positions
of each of the great parties are
thoroughly knowfi. Just one
day is set a side* for the final con¬
summation of this gigantic bat¬
tle of ballot*. That day is next
Tuesday* Ndv. 6th. On that
day the people will take a hand
In settling these mighty issues.
Every voter
should have studied the differ¬
ent issues iuvolved and should
be able to vote intelligently.
The preservation of our present
forrri Of government seems to
test upon the declaration of
bfindiples as set forth by the
democratic party; The republi¬
cans plead for false prosperity
at the price of blood and money.
■Will you vote to sacrifice the
lives of our young manhood and
billions of dollars for the privi¬
lege of subjugating the heathen
tribes of other nations? On
which side will you line up?
HouT dodge the issue. The peo¬
ple of the south cannot afford
to condone the present methods
of the republican party. They
hre aSked to rise in their might
and show to these traders of
trusts, liberty, blood and money
that the south is still solid and
that democracy is the safeguard
Of thO nation. So, go to bal¬ the
noils Tuesday and cast yofir
lot for the preservation of our
Country as tditilded by Jefferson
and as advocated t0=day by the
party of Bryan,
The legistdtfire can’t get down

A OJClTFULL OFUFB,
Adel is a town of which
county may be proud. Over-
coming natnfal disadvantages,
and survivingdisasters by fire,
stands today a worthy hi
ulnout to the pluck, ability and
capable
n ess men and farmers of Berrien
There are Whole blocks of tasty
brick stores, with riiore of them
constantly building. The new
bank building is one of the
handsemest in this section
the state. Arid by the way, it
is doubtful if aiiv hank
tion In the state of Georgia
a better dividend to its etoek-
holders than does the Bank of
AdeL Legated in a splendid
agricultural siectictn, with con-
sinerable trade with Brooks and
Colquitt eountios, the town is a
fine business point, and some of
the business houses carry stocks
that would do credit a town
of teir times its size, del has
never seehi the time in its liis-
tory when there was not a steady
progress in building. One
pride of the town is a handsome
twe-story brick cotton-ginnery.
Adel bought an immense a-
mount of cotton last season ’
and ex poets to do even greatei
things this year. The contract
has just been let out for a thirty
room hotel* All artesian
furnishes an abundance of pure
water for the To\s n. I lie plat e
affords four churches, Methodist
Presbyterian, Missionary Bap¬
tist, and Primitive Baptist, and
one of the finest schools in South
Georgia. The merchants are
btisy, and express themselves as
highly pleased with the outlook
for business; With the except¬
ion of a planing mill'and turpen¬
tine still, the trade of the town
conies from the farmers of this
section who have improved their
condition in the last few years.
The cotton crop is reported off
nearly one half this year, but
there is an bundance of food¬
stuffs raised, and the people are
far from having the “blues”.
Adel is the home of the Adel
