Mr. Owen Smith Dead.
Mr. Owen Smith, one of the
oldest and most highly respected
citizens of Lowndes county died
at his home in Valdosta last 8un-
day. Mr. Smith was horn in
North Carolina and moved to this
Beq^ion when a young man. He
was it citizen of this county for
many years and is well known by
all of the old original settlers of j
this section. He lived a useful
and Godly life and passed peace¬
fully and quietly to sleep in the
evening of life at the advanced !
