To Find Him a Wife,
Macon, Ga., Oct. 10.—Of all
the queerest was made
this morning by a forlorn-looking
gentleman from Dodge county,
wanted Mayor Smith to find
him a wife. At first the mayor
thought the man was the victim
of a practical joke, but it finally
leaked out that he wanted a sec¬
ond wife far his children, whose
mother is dead. He said that he
had been recommended to the
mayor as the man to get him a
wife, but the mayor said that lie
would have to have time to think
over it. It is possible the gen¬
tleman from Dodge will advertise
for a wife.
The treasury of the United
States on May 0, 19.03, redeemed

first time in the history of the
country that any such coins have
been presented far redemption.
