The Family of Leonard Morrison Chapman REVOLUTIONS Revolutions are not about tri fles, but spring from trifles. - Airstotle A populace never rebels from passion for attack, but from impatience of suffering. - Edmund Burke In all moral revolutions, from a lower to a higher condition of thought and action, Truth is in the minority and error has the majority, - Mary Baker Lddy The Citizens State Bank Urges People Of Taylor County To Buy Savings Bonds TO OUR DEPOSITORS: In this time of national peril, we join with bankers across the nation in bringing you an important message from your govern ment. Today our most precious heritage - our freedom - is threaten ed by forces more powerful, more resourceful, more destructive than at any time in our history. As Americans, we all must share in the struggle to preserve the peace and our freedom. The part played by individual Americans will take many forms, but there is one way open to all. The Treasury is calling on all Americans to buy as many United States Savings Bonds as possible in 1962. U. S. Savings Bonds are Bonds of Freedom. When you invest in them, not only do you build your own and your family’s security, but our country’s as well. You add directly to America’s econo mic strength. You help to protect and preserve our freedom for the generations to come. Savings Bonds earn 3 3/4% when held to maturity. Series E Bonds mature in 7 years and 9 months; interest is added to the casli value every six months. Series H Bonds mature in 10 years; pay interest semi-annually by Treasury check. The Bonds are not subject to market .fluctuations. (Both E and 11 Bonds continue to earn interest after maturity — no action required, just hold them.) 1 hope you will join with millions of other Americans in buying Savings Bonds, one way all of us can help in the detense of our freedom. We will be glad to serve you in the purchase of Savings Bonds or answer any questions yon may have. Sincerely, Maesal E. Childres Vice President & Cashier The Taylor County (Ga.) News.
