Beeland of Rey nolds announce the engagement of her daughter, Varnelle, to James C. Hallman, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hallman of Fort Valley. The wedding is set for 3 p. m., December 23, at the Crowell Methodist Church. Miss Beeland is a graduate of Reynolds High School and is employed by the Cardinal Mfg. Co. in Fort Valley. Lions Club Meets President William Neisler presided at the business ses sion of the Butler Lions Club on Monday night at 7:30. Projects for the year were planned and the meetings for year were set for the second and fourth Monday night in each month. Mrs. Hamp Riley presented an interesting program on An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving at the meeting of the Butler Gar den Club at the Coumrrunity House. Several Thanksgiving songs were sung with Mrs. Lewis Adams at the piano. Mrs. Riley closed the program with a Thanksgiving prayer. Mrs. Billy Amos presided over the short business session.
