Ann Streetrruvr At the FHA Christmas meeting the FFA boys joined the girls to sing Christmas carols. A Christmas reading written by Peter Marshall was given by Miss Katrina Cheek. The Future Business Leaders Meeting was a very interesting event as the members trimmed a tree with silver togiveChrist- mas to a family. The Seniors thought Friday was a big day since they elect ed superlatives and set up some special committees. Mr. Par- tain, the class sponsor, was presented with a pen and pencil set as a Christmas gift. Many of the Christmas nap kins sold by the FBLA mem bers were an added attraction to the heavily-laden holiday tables. These proved very pro fitable with only a few left over, and the left overs can be sold next year. Magazine subscriptions taken by members of the JuniorClass will be delayed about eight weeks. But don’t worry, you will receive your magazine. Friday was probably the most enjoyable day for every body since it was the last school day before the Christmas holi days. School will begin again December 31. The bleak of winter is at its height. Homemakers have spent their "all” so to speak, on the preceding holiday season. Right about now both the recipe files and the imaginations are tired. Hearty winter meals may be inclined to get monotonous. To break that monotony and give the whole family a lift, make tomorrow's dinner something completely different . . . and don't worry, this dish is easy to make. Canned mushroom gravy makes this Stuffed Flank Steak Supreme a real treasure for your file box. Smooth, rich gravy, already for you right from the can, keeps the meat moist and flavorful while cook ing, and at serving time — a touch of sour cream turns it into a gourmet sauce. Sausage, chopped Brazil nuts, and leaf thyme, lift the stuffing out of the “ordinary” and into the “extraordinary”. With this delicious meat dish serve peas and carrots, an avo cado salad, and for dessert, spicy baked apples topped with merinque for a flair.
