Republican Candidate for Commissioner
District 4
I am W. Robert Peacock, and I am running for re-election to
serve as your District 4 County Commissioner* Due to the Covid-
19 pandemic and shelter in place rules, I have missed being able
to see each of you* I would like to share with my constituents some
of the things accomplished during my tenure as your County
Commissioner*
I received my certification as County Commissioner from the
University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government by
completing 60 hours of study*
I was instrumental in getting Crossroads School Road, Poole
Road and Ridge Road resurfaced.
I am proud to say that we now have a fire station at Crossroad
School, along with the new pumper truck, servicing over ninety
uncovered residences. We are in hopes that this station, along w ith
other changes in our County Fire Department countvwide, will
help get us tower ratings on fire insurance for our residents.
We are in the process of upgrading our Taylor County Ambu
lance service. The new facility capable of housing full-time person
nel is now operational. This was made possible with the help of
Benira Hudgens and other county personnel* We are hoping in the
future to have 24/7 EMS personnel manning the ambulance
service.
The Board of Commissioners, along with our Airport Author
ity, is in the process of making the airport financially self-support
ing.
I look forward, with your vote and support, to continue to serve
Taylor County*

Taylor County Board Of Commissioners
District 5
Citizens of District 5:
I would like to say to the voters and citizens of District 5
of Taylor County, as the end of my fifth term draws near,
it has been an honor and pleasure to serve you as your
Commissioner. I feel we have accomplished a lot in the
past 20 years, fm sure some of the decisions over the past
years may not have pleased everyone or always been the
most popular, but I have tried diligently to do what is
ethically and lawfully correct. I have always listened to
your requests and concerns and have been a voice on your
behalf. I have and will continue to stand up for our district.
Th is admi nistration has been a success, but could not have
been accomplished without your input and support. The
board of commissioners has a good working relationship
and has managed to keep taxes to a minimum and still
provide most of the services needed by the citizens of the
county and the daily operation of our local government. I
know as a tax payer, times are getting tougher each year
due to inflation of things such as fuel prices, insurance,
food, and many other factors. Yet, most of these cannot be
controlled by our local government. One thing every citi
zen in this county needs to do is take time out and really
pray about this upcoming national election. I encourage
everyone to please exercise your civic duty and VOTE!! On
the local level, I have been asked to run for re-election.
There are some very important issues to face in our county
during the next couple of years. The decisions will greatly
affect our tax millage rate* As you know, the county will be
getting a new school, we will he changing to a full-time
ambulance service, and our fire departments are being
upgraded for better ISO rati ngs wh ich helps ou r insurance
rates. These are issues that affect taxes and our livelihood.
I believe my 20 years of experience will help with accom
plishing these goals on a budget that this county can af
ford* I proudly say I have accepted this challenge to con
tinue onr quest for more industry, good jobs, better infra
structure, better education, recreation, public safety, and
reasonable taxes. You know who I am, what I stand for,
believe in, and work for. With your help and support, I will
continue to work hard for you, stand up for you, and be
your voice of recognition, because 1 care for our people
and our children and am proud to call Taylor County our
home.
Due to theCOVID-iq pandemic and out of respect for you,
I have been unable to visit each of you, as I would have
liked. Please accept this letter as my personal request for
your vote, and please let me know if you have any ques
tions or concerns.
Your Vote Will Be Greatly Appreciated,
Randy Nelson
