A couple of weeks ago, 1 decided that I was going to learn how to
make homemade yeast rolls. I’ve tried twice, and it hasn’t hap
pened. Actually, both times, the rolls turned out okay, but they
just aren’t like the ones I’m thinking about, I’m thinking about
the ones the lunchroom made when I was in school-many, many
years ago. Really, I’m thinking about the ones Mrs. Nellie Gray
Heath and my Granny made (which were like the lunchroom rolls,
since Mrs. Nell worked in the lunchroom, at one time.) The smell
that came out of Mrs. Nell’s kitchen on “bread day” was some
thing out of this world. She and Granny would make the dough,
and half of it was used for rolls, and the other half was used for
homemade cinnamon rolls, They would have rolls all over that
huge kitchen, and they were “to die for!”
I started thinking about those rolls, and I thought I was going
to make some. Ha!
1 found a recipe (obviously not Mrs. Nell’s), and followed it to a
*T* It’s a time consuming process. First, you have to activate
the yeast. Then, you make the dough and let it rise for an hour.
Then you punch it down, make the rolls, and let them rise an
other hour, before baking them. So, it takes about three hours.
My rolls did rise, and looked pretty good. I was excited. But,
when I tried one, it just wasn’t right. Mine reminded me of a
hamburger bun. There was no “yeasty” taste, and they were too
dense. I served them anyway, and the dogs got a whole bunch of
them.
Tho next week, I tried, again. I found a different recipe, and
this one included honey and rolling the dough out and cutting
the rolls, rather than making the dough balls by hand. 1 went
through the entire process, and these rolls were worse than the
first ones. They, too, rose up and looked pretty good, but they
still weren’t right. Plus, I had planned to half the recipe, but 1
got confused and put the whole dose of milk in. That caused me
to revert to the full recipe. Let’s just say there were a whole
bunch of rolls. Let’s also say the dogs are getting sick of rolls.
I really don’t know what my problem may be. Maybe I need
bread flour, instead of all-purpose flour, but the recipes did not
call for bread flour, I read that you should use “cheap” flour.
That’s strange, but maybe it’s the key. I just don’t know.
So, if anybody knows how to make old fashioned lunchroom yeast
rolls that are light, fluffy, and yeasty, please tell me how' to do it.
The internet cooks don’t know, and neither do I! But, I do know
how to make a pretty good, tasteless hamburger bun.

Culture War 101
The free world’s rich elite flew in their private jets to Davos,
Switzerland in the year of our lord Jesus Christ 2020 to con
demn the fossil fuel exhaust we commoners’ vehicles emit
driving to our jobs. They also tweaked their plan to annoy
us consumers.
Elitists decided to do a gender-affirming procedure on busi
nesses transitioning them from shareholder to stakeholder
capitalism via their “Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sus
tainable World” plan. They updated their Davos Manifesto,
which declares the purpose of businesses in the non-Com-
munist world ie is to engage all its stakeholders in shared
and sustained value creation.”
Shareholders are the people who risk their money to pro
duce, sell, and deliver products to consumers and if success
ful, they receive a financial profit in return.
Stakeholders are a mob of employees, vendors, politicians,
and consumers. They have nothing at risk In the production
of merchandise.
Stakeholders agree with the International Federation of
Accountants who define value as something “...ultimately
defined by customers, investors and other stakeholders: Cre
ated through the organization’s purpose, strategy, and busi
ness model taking into account all resources, capitals, and
relationships in an integrated way: Delivered to ever-more
demanding and sophisticated stakeholders through respon
sible products and services, and through new channels, at
an appropriate price: Sustained by retaining and protecting
value internally, and by appropriate reinvestment and dis
tribution to shareholders and wider society.” Whew that
gobbledygook is incredibly stupid!
Value, according to them, involves establishing and pri
oritizing stakeholders, understanding how they are relevant
to the organization’s purpose and strategy, and assessing
how to balance their respective needs and expectations.”
That Woke foolishness is now rampant in America’s large
corporations, and it is causing management to chase its tail
seeking “social justice”: Another leftist loony fad.
The Bible says, “In those days there was no king in Israel;
everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Today’s busi
ness leaders of mega companies in the free world bought
into the Davos Manifesto. “Stakeholders” with their wacky
ideas of what is right are free to do what they believe is
“right.”
British writer George Orwell once said, “There are some
things only intellectuals are crazy enough to believe.”
As an example of that fact, Anheuser-Busch InBev back in
June of 2022 hired a woman to increase the sales of one of
its brands, Bud Light, the beer most often sold across the
fruited plain. She believed that American transvestites were
her brand’s most important stakeholder.
Today, Bud Light is trying to escape her misguided radical
belief. Media reports in a matter of days after its Marketing

VF Alissa Heinerscheid and her boss, Daniel Blake, sucked
up to America’s sophisticated stakeholders, the
“transgendered” clique, the brewery lost six billion dollars
of its net worth because of the Davos Manifesto. In a matter
of days, Bud Light sales dropped seventeen percent!
Media site theconservativetreehouse.com on April 9, 2023,
wrote of Heinerscheid’s folly, “Budweiser Light Vice Presi
dent of Marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, explains why she
decided to make Bud Light the beer of transvestites. Trust
me, once you see the background of Heinerscheid, in her own
words, it all makes sense.
“A middle aged, upper income highly educated white woman
with three children, all born from surrogates, explains how
[in] her worldview, everyone needs their safe space to find
their best identity, shapes her brand representation.
“Mrs. Heinerscheid graduated from the Wharton School of
Business (University of Pennsylvania 2012/2013), around
the same time as Ivanka Trump. She interned with General
Mills (Cheerios brand), before ultimately landing the job with
Anheuser Bush as VP of Marketing for Bud Light.
“How her ideological outlook passed through the corporate
filtration, is a case study on corporate stupidity.
“Against the backdrop of micro-brew beer being popular
with young people, Ms. Heinerscheid defined her brand of
Bud Light as the “fraternity/out of touch humor” brand amid
young people. She wanted to create a more ‘inclusive’ image
for beer; representation in the brand image became her cause
celeb. Wokeism was the mechanics to deliver the brand
change, so that’s what she did.
“At her intentional direction, Bud Light is now the beer for
Woke Transvestites. Ms. Heinerscheid made Bud Light a
beer of, by and for transvestites. Pick up that selected bev
erage, and the consumer identity is now defined. You are
what you drink.”
Seventeen percent of her beer guzzlers switched brands.
Heinerscheid and Blake devalued stakeholder value. Bud

The
Great Flood
By Billy Powell
Noah, the son of Lamech, is recorded in the 10th genera
tion from Adam. He was a just and God-fearing man, but
lived in a period when the earth was “corrupt and filled
with violence” (Gen 6: 21). So, God decided to destroy all
living creatures with a great flood. God ordered Noah to
build an ark that was longer than a football field, half as
wide, and four stories high. The boat had a storage capac
ity of 370 railroad cars.
Noah loads the boat with pairs of land animals, both male
and female. Once Noah and his family were securely on
the boat, it rained for 40 days. In addition to the rain, gey-
sers underneath the earth broke open and flooded the ter
rain, For 40 days, the waters rose above the highest moun
tain peaks ensuring that everyone on earth had perished.
Five months later, Noah’s boat scraped to a halt, running
aground on a mountain in the Ararat range-on the border
of what is now Turkey, Iran, and Armenia.
Yet, Noah and his family have to wait inside the ark a
little over a year. Alter a while, Noah sends out a series of
birds to see if the land was sufficiently dry. The third time,
Noah sent out a dove. It did not return signifying that the
earth was dry. So, a year after they had entered the ark,
Noah and his family and all the living creatures thereon
departed the ark. A similar story was written in ancient
Iraq. It was called the Epic of Gilgainesh. In this account,
a Babylonian man survived a flood by bull ding a huge boat
for his family and the animals. Like Noah. He released a
dove after the flood to see if it would come back, just as
Noah had done (Genesis, chapters 6,7, and 8 provide the
entire flood story).
God made a covenant with Noah and every living creature
(Genesis 9: 8-17). Never again would God bring a flood to
destroy the earth and its people. God also left a sign to sub
stantiate His covenant, which was the rainbow in the sky.
After the flood, Genesis 9: 18-28 states that Noah became
a farmer and planted a vineyard. Noah became drunk from
the wine, and lay naked in his tent. This was a violation
by Ham. After seeing the nakedness of his father, Ham
told his brothers, Shem and Japheth. But Shem and
Japheth covered their father’s nakedness without seeing
Noah’s nakedness. When Noah woke from the wine and
knew what his sons had done, he cursed Canaan, saying:
“Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants he shall be to
his brethren.” Noah also said: “Blessed be the Lord, the
God of Shem. And may Canaan be his servant. May God
enlarge Japheth, and may he dwell in the tents of Shem.
And may Canaan he his servant.” Noah lived 950 years,
and 350 years after the flood.
The Hebrews believed that the races of the near East were
descended from Noah’s sons. Shem was the ancestor of the
Shemites who inhabited the Fertile Crescent and the Ara
bian Desert. From Japheth came the Indo-European people
to the north and west. The Hamites dwelt mainly in Af
rica, specifically Egypt and Ethiopia. And finally, Genesis,
chapter 10 provides a detailed genealogy involving Noah’s
three sons: Shem, Japheth, and Canaan. Eight generations
from Shem came Abraham (then called Abram), whose fa
ther was Terah (Genesis 11: 27-31),
