OBITUARIES
Brown
Walter Wayne Brown, 70. died
Monday, April 17, 2023, at Rio
Grande Regional Hospital in
McAllen, TX.
A memorial service was held
Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1
p.m., at Faith Baptist Church.
He was horn Dec. 19, 1952, to
the late Thomas Brown and
Juanita Millirons Brown. He
served as a missionary all ofhis
adult life. At his father’s death,
he took over The Plain Gospel
Mission in Mexico. He built
churches in several villages and
in the mountains in Mexico.
The mission will continue with
his wife, Betty, and daughter,
Misty, and her husband,
Hasael, who are currently mis
sionaries in Mexico.
Mr. Brown is survived by his
wife, Carolyn Brown of San
Juan; live children, Anthony
Wayne Brown and his wife,
Amy Brown, of Seward, AK,
Jeremy Wayne Brown of Point
Blank, TX, Dustin Wayne
Brown and his wife, Natalie
Brown, of Seattle, WA, Misty
Renee Pacheco-Brown and her
husband, Hasael Pacheco of
Querctaro, Mexico, and Jas
mine Alysabeth Whitten and
her husband, Christopher
Whitten, of Harlingen, TX; nine
grandchildren; and three sib
lings, Bernice Carpenter of
Butler, GA, Louise Zeagler of
Macon, GA S and Thomas Brown
and his wife, Darlene, of
Onalaska, TX.

Davis
Jennie Y. Davis, 93, of
Paducah, KY, died comfortably
at Jackson Oaks Retirement
Community, at 9:30 am.. Tues
day, April 18, 2023.
Funeral services were held
Friday, April 21, 2023, at 12
noon, at the Lone Oak Chapel
of Milner & Orr Funeral Home,
with Rev. Ben Boone officiat
ing, Burial followed at Mt.
Kenton Cemetery.
Jennie was born May 31,1929,
to the late George and Jennie
Gray Young, She was a mem
ber of Lone Oak United Meth
odist Church. She w as a 1947
graduate of Reynolds High
School, received her Bachelor
of Science degree from Georgia
State College for Women, and
her Master of Arts in Educa
tion from Eastern Kentucky
University. She retired as Cur
riculum Director for the Lee
County School System in Geor
gia. She loved music and spoke
of one day being a member of
the heavenly choir.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; two sisters, Vir
ginia Davidson and Eleanor
Walker; and three brothers,
Hubert Young, James Young,
and Charles Young,
She is survived by one daugh
ter, Barbara (Bill) Gholson of
Paducah; one granddaughter,
Ashley (Christopher) Holland
of Spring, TX; one great grand
daughter, Katherine “Kate”
Holland; one sister. Susan
{Carl) Foley of Worcester, MA;
and several nieces and neph
ew's.

Bobby J. McAfee ,59,diedAprll
8, 2023.
Funeral services were held
Monday, April 17, 2023, at 1
p.m., at the Second Flint River
Baptist Association Center in
Butler, GA.
Bobby grew up and attended
the public schools of Taylor
County. He loved sports and
playing basketball during his
school days. Growing up, he
acquired the nickname '‘Pop.”
He was a generous person, and
fun and laughter were sure to
arise in any conversation with
him.
Bobby wanted a change and
moved to Atlanta, GA, and
made it his home. Heconfessed
his faith in Christ in his later
life. He was dearly loved by his
close knit family.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, St. Paul McAfee
and Dorothy Hicks Knowlton,
and his nephew, Randall
La’Morris Hicks.
He is survived by his brother,
Herman (Lisa) McAfee of
Fayetteville, NC; his twin sis
ter, Bobbie Jean McAfee of
Reynolds, GA; stepbrother,
Cedric McAfee of San Francisco,
CA; nephews, AnthonyDeShaw
McAfee of Marietta, GA and
Jarrel Reward McAfee ofWash-
ington, D.C,; niece, Karyn
Shanese McAfee of Towson,
MD; and a host of other rela
tives and friends.

Robbie Ann Barrow Montgom
ery, 71, of Reynolds, GA, died
Thursday, April 27, 2023, at
her residence.
Graveside services were held
Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2
p.m., at Crowell United Meth
odist Church Cemetery.
She was a member of Crowell
United Methodist Church,
where she served as pianist for
many years. She played the
piano at various churches since
the age of 12. Robbie was a
devoted wife, mother, and
grandmother.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, Robert Barrow and
Carolyn Wyche; an infant
daughter; and her husband,
Lamar Montgomery.
She is survived by one son,
Mike (Jana) Montgomery of
Reynolds; three daughters, Jen
nifer (John) Moore ofReynokls,
Lacy Montgomery of Reynolds,
and Holly (Travis) Goodin of
Reynolds; one brother, Roh
(Tammy) Barrow of New York;
five sisters, Donna (William)
Hodge of Reynolds, Sharon
(Jimmy) Robinson of Butler,
Vicky Everidgc of Macon, Beth
Barrow' Holder of Rome, and
Joyce Blakely of Macon; five
grandchildren, Luke Montgom
ery, Lane Montgomery', Jacob
Moore, Taylor Moore, and
Conner Goodin.

was a devoted wife, mother,
grandmother, and dearly loved
her family, which included her

her husband, Daniel Whatley
Payne, Jr.; one brother, Calvin
Burchfield; four sisters, Mable
Williams, Edna Howell, Glynn
Pruitt, and Kay Standford; and
one great grandson, Daniel

She is survived by her son,

He was a member of Bethel
Church. Alan was a retired
truck driver and enjoyedcoach-
ing little league baseball, soft-
ball, and football. He loved his
Wife, children, gr and children,
and his family and friends.
He w as preceded in death by
his parents, Floyd Sapp and
Charlotte Tyson Sapp, and his
brother, Mitchell Sapp.
He is survived by his wife,

J. Willard Wilder, 83, of
Reynolds, GA, died Monday,
May 1, 2023, at LifeSpring
Church Home m Peach County.
Funeral services were held
Wed nesday, May 3,2023, at 11
a m., at Reynolds First Baptist
Church. Burial followed in
Hillcrest Cemetery.
He w'as a member of Reynolds
First Baptist Church, where he
had served as a deacon. He
retired as service manager from
Brannon Ford in Byron, after
working there many years.
After retiring, he worked with
McLcighton Funeral Service for
over 10 years.
He was born May 6, 1939, to
the late John Franklin Wilder
and Elizabeth Hancock Wilder.
He was also preceded in death
by one brother, Donald Wilder,
and one sister, Glenda
Windham.
He is survived by his wife of64
years,JoyceWilderofReynolds;

of Tellico Plains, TN and Glen
(Jennifer) Wilder of Reynolds;
one brother, Joe (Jeanette)
