I didn’t get up at 5 a m. Saturday morning to watch the corona
tion of King Charles, III, hut over the weekend, I've seen the
ceremony several times. I'm intrigued by the Royals, but I'm not
a serious Roy ah watcher. It all seems like a fairy tale, to me,
with the crowns, scepters, orbs, swords, robes with trains, etc.
I’m not subject to the King, but I am somewhat interested.
During the coronation ceremony, not only was Charles crowned
King, but his wife, Camilla, was crowned Queen. And, that’s
where I became confused, I don’t know enough about the Royal
customs, rules, and traditions to understand, but I found it odd
that Camilla was crowned Queen. I didn’t understand why she
is Queen, but Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Philip, was Prince
Philip, not King Philip. He wasn’t crowned King,
I looked it up, and I still don’t understand, but here is what I
found from various news organizations fthey all said about the
same thing):
Queen Camilla is King Charles’ second wife. The first was the
world beloved Princess Diana, who divorced Charles before be
ing killed in a car wreck. Several years later, Prince Charles
married Camilla, At that time, she became Princess of Cornwall,
or Princess Consort. (She didn’t use Princess of Wales, since that
belonged to Diana.) Before her death, Queen Elizabeth II granted
the title Queen Consort to Camilla, upon her own death, and she
became Queen Saturday during the coronation. She is Queen of
the United Kingdom, but it is different from Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth was Queen Regnant, because she inherited
the throne and ruled. Queen Camilla is Queen Consort, and she
will never rule. She’s just married to the King,
That's it for the ladies, but it's even different for the men. So,
here s an attempt to explain why Elizabeth’s husband, Philip,
was a Prince, not a King. Traditionally, the title King can only
be inherited, and Elizabeth was the heir, not Philip. Plus, the
King always outranks the Queen, so it wasn’t in the cards for
Philip, (But. if you read a little about him, I don’t think he cared
very much.)
Philip married Queen Elizabeth before she was Queen, so at
their marriage, he was given the following titles: Duke of
Edinburgh, Earl of Merioneth, and Baron Greenwich, When
Queen Elizabeth inherited the crown, she made her husband
Prince Philip. So, at King Charles Ill’s death, his firstborn son,
William will inherit the crown. Currently, he is called Prince of
Wales. Are you good and confused now? Me, too!

Progressives and Evil People
May 6, 2023, at 3:36 PM Central Standard Time, a mur
derer-wannabe exited his gray sedan in the parking lot
outside one store of the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen
Texas, took aim with a semi-automatic rifle at people who
were casually walking on the sidewalk twenty feet from
him. He then shot fourteen shoppers killing seven of them
including one child, (One of the wounded died enroute to
an emergency hospital.) A policeman near the scene of the
mass murder-in-progress, ran toward the sound of the
gunfire, engaged the shooter with his sidearm, and killed
him instantly.
That tragedy followed another mass murder in Cleveland,
Texas the previous weekend, when on April 29, a man killed
live of his next-door neighbors because they asked him to
stop shooting his rifle while their baby slept.
Liberal politicians, progressive thinkers, and even some
well-meaning regular people tied themselves in knots fol
lowing each of the horrific events aghast that scary look
ing military style rifles killed those people. Federal politi
cians are again calling for more federal laws to stop those
AR-style rifles from doing such evil things. Who knows,
they very well might eventually write the perfect law that
will stop those guns from killing us.
Evil people however will continue ignoring laws prohib
iting murder and will continue using whatever weapon they
want to use to kill people.
In the meantime, we humans need to be prepared, for in
the twinkling of an eye, our souls will stand before the
Creator of the Universe and give an account of our lives
and then receive judgement. We never know when or where
an evil lunatic holding an AR-15 style weapon (or other
instrument of death) will kill us. No place is safe these
days, not in our home, at school, job, church, on a side
walk, road, in a park, even our favorite fish-hole.
Once while sitting on the west bank of the Flint River, a
bullet whizzed past my forehead from left to right so close
the heat of it preceded the snap of the supersonic missile
followed by the sound of the gunshot. Those things caused
me to slam my body backward onto the sand. This pundit
then mimicked a salamander burrowing into the fine
pebbles. We never know when a bullet coming down range
finds us either as the intended target, or just a recipient of
a carelessly discharged firearm!
As the Texas massacres prove in this age we are living in
today, our collective godlessness is yielding bad fruit. Jesus’
apostle Paul in his second letter to Timothy wrote, ‘This
know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,

boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, without natural affection... fierce de-
spisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded,
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God..,”
In 1962, the US Supreme Court expelled God from our
nation’s schools. Progressive thinkers shouted hooray for
our side! Next, they emptied state mental asylums. Paul
to the Roman (gentile) Christians warned about such
people, "... professing themselves to be wise, they became
fools...God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those
things which are not convenient; being filled with all
unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness; full of envy, murder...”
Reprobate minds of progressive thinkers are certainly
wreaking havoc on us today!
The Texas massacres are evidence also that America is in
the last days that Jesus’ apostle Paul talked about in an
other letter to his deputy Timothy, “This know also, that
in the last days perilous times shall come.”
Common sense says that immoral people, mentally ill, or
unstable neighbors are a danger even if they do not own
AR-15 style rifles. Progressive thinkers decided that asy
lums were unfair to unstable and dangerous folks. They
replaced segregation in secure facilities with a bottle of
pills and a promise from the irresponsible people that they
would take the medicine on schedule. British author George
Orwell said of such absurdity, “Some ideas are so stupid
that only intellectuals believe them,”
We non-progressive thinkers know that laws prohibiting
the wanton killing of people only work when moral hu
mans control themselves. The American Heritage Dictio
nary says a moral is of or concerned with the judgment of
right or wrong of human action and character. Progres
sive thinkers destroyed the American family, ridiculed
church attendance, and put progressives in charge of our
schools. Children have had no place to learn morals. We
are now reaping the results of those liberal ideas, i mmoral
people killing and wreaking havoc on society. God help us!

All About
Moses
By Bitty Powell
Moses was born a Hebrew. He came approximately five
centuries after the family of Jacob that had traveled to
Egypt with an entourage of 70 people due to famine in
Canaan. Over the centuries, Jacob’s family had grown to
an untenable number of a million people. Due to the in
creasing size of the Hebrew nation, the Fharoah dealt with
the people rather harshly by assigning them the difficult
task of building an unthinkable number of bricks without
straw. Yet, the Hebrew people still increased in numbers,
so Pharoah decreed that all newborn male Hebrew babies
be thrown into the Nile River where they would perish.
A Hebrew woman named Jochebed had a baby boy named
Moses, so she made a water-tight basket for the baby and
placed him near the bank of the Nile River where Pharoah’s
daughter bathed. As expected, the Princess found the baby
and realized he was a Hebrew, The baby’s big sister,
Miriam, was watching nearby. So, Miriam walked over
and told the Princess she knew a woman who could
breastfeed the baby and take care of him. The Princess
consented. She later adopted the baby and called him
Moses—who was raised and educated in Pharoah’s pal
ace.
One day, Moses saw an Egyptian unmercifully whipping
a Hebrew, so Moses killed the Egyptian and buried him
deep in the sand. Thinking he was unseen, but peering
eyes witnessed the murder. To escape the wrath of Pharoah,
Moses fled into the desert to the Land of Median. There he
married Zipporah, the daughter of Jethro. While tending
Jethro’s sheep near Mount Sinai, Moses noticed a bush on
a mountainside that was burning, but not being consumed.
Upon closer examination, God spoke to Moses from the
bush, requesting that Moses free the Hebrew nation that
had been under severe bondage for centuries. After Moses
told God he had speech impediments, his brother Aaron
was chosen to do the speaking,
Pharoah’s heart was hardened and he would not let the
Hebrews go. Next came the 10 horrific plagues. The 10th
plague involved the death of the first born among the Egyp
tians. It was so bad that Pharoah released the Hebrew
people who had grown so rapidly since their ancestor Jacob
had come to Egypt 430 years earlier (Exodus 12: 41). The
next hurdle for the Hebrews (600,000 men not counting
women and children), was when they were crossing the
Red Sea with Pharoah’s army in hot pursuit. As Moses
held his staff over the Red Sea, the waters parted, allow-
ing the Hebrew nation to get to the other side. As Pharoah’s
army came after them, the waters came back together and
all the Egyptians were drowned.
Soon thereafter, God gave the Ten Commandments at
Mount Sinai (Exodus, chapters 19 and 20). For the next 40
years, the Israelites wandered in the Sinai Peninsular un
til they invaded the land of Canaan, first capturing the
fortified city of Jericho. Moses was not allowed to enter
the Promised Land, but viewed it from Mount Nebo before
he died at the age of 120.
Moses left behind the Mosaic Law (619 laws). They are
found in Exodus 21-24; 31-35, Galatians 3:24 states that
the Law is “our tutor that leads us to Christ.” Romans 10:4
adds that Christ is “the culmination of the law for every
one who believes.”
