Telomeres...Your
Cellular Assembly Line
By Wade Yoder

www.wadeyoder.com
We are made up of several trillion cells and though we don’t completely die as a person when
several billion cells die in our body, we can feel it in other areas, such as low energy levels, sick
ness, and chronic disease, as well as a loss of skin elasticity aging!
Telomeres are the part of our cells that are like the end caps on shoestrings that keep the strings
(DNA) from unraveling. As these end caps get worn down from new generations of cells passing
through, we show first the signs of aging, and eventually, we come to the end of our life when too
many of these telomeres get shortened to the point where they can no longer birth the new ceils
that rejuvenate us.
Studying this process seems a little complicated, but it has helped me picture what happens
better, when 1 imagine our telomeres being like an assembly line that assembles a product (new
cells). If this assembly line got shorter each cycle, the end products would not come out looking as
good as when they went through the full assembly line, and eventually, when the assembly lines
are completely worn down, production stops, and the factory shuts down.
Inside the several trillion cells of the body, our DNA holds a blueprint of how it wants the next
generation of cells to look like, and depending on how strong or how weak the assembly line is,
determines how well the new generation of cells mirror the blueprint of the parent cells. This
assembly line is our lifestyle habits that can either help produce a healthy generation of cells or
that can further corrode and damage this next generation of cells, causing premature aging and
disease! This can also happen to the original blueprint (DNA), if it suffers from oxidative damage.
Have you ever noticed bow some people carry much the same appearance throughout much of
their adult life, while others do not look like the same person after the 30-40 years? Our external
environment and lifestyle habits have a lot to do with how r our internal environment is set up for
future generations of cells. This is why a person w ho has had premature aging (due to smoking,
alcohol, drugs, as well as inactivity, unhealthy or unbalanced diet, lack of sunshine, rest, and other
bad lifestyle habits) can oft times correct the above and gradually become younger in appearance,
along with an increase in vitality and energy.
There is new research that indicates that the enzyme telomerasc can gradually rebuild the length
of our telomeres, and, though they are uncertain as to whether it will extend cell life, they seem to
be certain that it will extend the youthfulness of our new generations of cells vs. creating older
decrepit cells. Either way, lifestyle habits seem to be the leading factor of determining how we
extend youthful ness into our latter years.
It can help us if we imagine our lifestyle habits as employees standing along our personal cellular
assembly line building our next generation of cells. This assembly line will determine how they
will look in appearance along with their capability to rejuvenate and fight disease! We can either
employ bad habits or good habits...
Assembly line employees that need to be FIRED:
1. Polluted oxygen (smoking and other environmental toxins).
2. Processed fluids (sodas, etej.
3. Unhealthy or unbalanced diet.
4. Lack of sunshine.
5. Inactivity.
6. Lack of good deep sleep.
Hire these assembly line employees: We can do this by identifying and replacing our bad habitfs)
above with these...
1. Clean air.
2. Water,
3. Balanced diet from unprocessed foods.
4. Sunshine.
5. Exercising and staying active,
6. Deep sleep and NO caffeine for 6 hours prior to sleep.
These employees of good health have synergy with each other, and when one of the above employ
ees are missing for a while or are not at Work, it will show' up in how you look, act, and feel, both
physically and mentally!
Remember: You are made up of new cells every year, your healthy habits today determine your
cellular make up for tomorrow!
I believe 100% that God designed our body with innate capabilities that no person has ever been
able to match in modem medical science, along with a unique capability to take the simple basics
above and yield great health results.
