Miss Maude Netherland lias been quite sick
for several days with Typhoid fever. The
Doctor thinks it lias broken, and her mother
and friends anticipate her speedy recovery.
During the absence of the Rev. L. A. Simp¬
son, the Rev. Mr. McClure, of Columbia, S.C
will occupy the pulpit in both churches- Ser¬
vices to-morrow in Toccoa at the usual hours.
M'ednesday was the most windy day of the

Misses Lizzie Jarrett, of Tugalo Valley and
Susie Lucas, of Athens, accompanied by Mess¬
rs. W. P. Furr and James Bingham, of
Clarksville, left Tuesday for a pleasure trip to
the mountains.

spend some days and will view the grand spec
