this county who will always be glad

issue of his paper shows Lira to be a

While wrapped in eaehjother’s em¬

critical condition. The world can
manage to get along without such
people.

When reasoning may be useless,
when censure fails to convict, and
threats to terrify, sympathy may pro-
luce the desired result. Pity is
akin to lovo, but sympathy is a pari
of love itself.

Love is the purest influence that
operates upon man and the most

Already a few of the ring masters
of the church who occupy the amen
corner and grunt so loud that it is
realy alarming, have raised a howl
about the young folks dancing during
the Christmas holidays. Now, our
advice is to stop your foaming at the
mouth, or people will think you are
rabid. Dancing is a scr’ptual form of
enjoyment, consistent with health
and social advancement, so long as it
can be pursued without extravagance;
and it is hard to find a reason why
the dance should be denounced.
The truth of the business is the

about Hie whiskey they gobbled
down themselves during the holidays,
