Dick Randal, of Martin, passed
through Toccoa Saturday, on his
way home from Atlanta.
The splendid assortment of
Christmas goods at E. R. Davis &
Co’s drug store is now open.
A little child of J. R. Hays, liv¬
ing near Colquitt, Ga., overturned
a pot of boiling water, scalding it¬
self so severely that the skin came
off its breast and limbs. The dis¬
tressed parents sent to Mr. Bush, a
merchant of Colquitt, for a remedy,
and he promptly forwarded Cham¬
berlain’s Pain Balm. The child was
suffering intensely, but was relieved
by a single application of the Pain
Balm. Another application or two
made it sound and well. For sale
by Wright & Edge.
Our good friend Flem Smith, of
Toccoa, was circulating among his
many Franklin friends last Sunday.
Come again Flem. Mr. Will Jor¬

it praise it and say there is nothing

Georgia which was located in the
Valley, a good many miles from a
railroad.

My son had his arm bad y pow¬

Rev. Dr. Keese spent several
days the past w r eek at Lavonia,
Elberton, Lexington and other
places.
Hog killing time is here, and
those who have fat swine are let-
ting it be known. Capt. Moseley,
Rich Wheeler, Ben Brown and
Jas. Hayes meet every day at
Brown’s store and tell how many
pounds of new flesh their respect¬
ive hogs put on the night previous.
At present the biggest estimate
seems to be about 400 pounds, but
we expect to hear of one of those
pigs tipping the scales at an even
900 pounds before the merits of the
best hog raiser has been settled.
We are very sorry to hear of the
removal of A. E. Keese to Toccoa
for in him we lose a noble cirizen.
