AN INTERESTING MEETING.
The Athens Presbytery in Session
at the Presbyterian Church.
Last week’s Elberton Star.
The session of the Athens Pres-
bytery opened last Wednesday even-
mg at 8:30 o’clock with a very
earnest and impressive invocation
by Rev. Dr. Hoyt, of Harmony
Grove.
The pastor, Rev. Mr. Simpson,
announced the fact that the Presby¬
tery was in session, after which
Dr. Hoyt called the roll and quite
a number responded, though some
churches were not represented, as
the delegates had not arrived.
On motion by Mr. W. M. Wil¬
cox, Rev. Mr. Harrell of Toccoa,
w’as called to the chair and elected
moderator. Mr. T. W. McAllister
was elected clerk. Services were
arranged to open promptly at 9
o’clock, a. m., and close at 12 m.,
and open again at 2 o’clock p. m.,
preaching to be at 11 o’clock in the
morning and 8 :3c) o’clock in the
evening.
The opening sermon was preach-
ed Wednesday at 8 130 o’clock by
Rev. Mr. Barber on the “New Birth
or Regeneration.” The church
was filled with a very orderly and
attentive congregation, and the
present session promises to he a
very interesting one.
Rev. Mr. Telford and wife, of
Hartwell, are the guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Auld and Mr. and Mrs.
Wilcox aie entertaining Rev. Dr.
Hoyt. His presence among our
people of all denominations is hail¬
ed as a benediction. He is looking
quite well and report his family
well also. It was rumored here
that Mrs. Hoyt was quite sick, but

•WORE BABY IS BOBN~
A Valuable Little Book of Interest
to All Women Sent Free.
Every woman looks forward with feel¬
ings of indescribable joy to the one mo¬
mentous event of her life, compared with
which all others pale into insignifi¬
cance. How proud and happy she will
be when her precious babe nestles on
her breast — how sweet the name of
“Mother!” And yet her happy antici¬
pation of this event is clouded with
misgivings of the pain and danger of
the ordeal, so that it is impossible to
avoid the feeling of constant dread
which creeps over her. The danger
and suffering attendant upon being a
mother can be entirely prevented, so
that the coming of the little stranger
need not be looked forward to with
fear and trembling, as is so often the
case. Every woman who reads this
paper can obtain absolutely free a val¬
uable and attractive little book enti¬
tled “Before Baby is Born,” by sending
her name and address to the Bradfield
Regulator Co., Atlanta, Ga. This book
contains priceless information to all
women, and no one should fail to send
