Divorce Case —The
says there were sixteen on
the Whitfield Superior Coijrfdoeket, six of
which was granted. The Judge humorous
ly observed that if the Court did that
amount of divorcMgfor its regular business
at every term, ClAcago would have to look
ont for its laurels.
Injunction Sustained.— His Honor Judge
Cole, at Macon, a few days since, sustain
ed the injunction sued ont by some of the
Stockholders of the South Western Rail
road, restraining it from purchasing stock
in the Atlantic & Gulf road. His Honor,
contends that such a power does not exist
in the charter of the road. It is thought
tho case will be cunicd to the Supreme
ColM't.

Edith Jones, of Tampa, accused of killing
her sister recently, has been released, there
being no evidence implicating her in the
murder.
The Synod of Georgia, which is composed
of the sevcial Presbyteries of Georgia and
Florida, will meet in Tallahassee on Wed**
wesday, the 24th instant.
The editors of the Democrat and Conger**
vatrve Press of Ahi'.inma are to have a
meeting in Montgomery on the 23d inst.
The Rkuki, Spy Insane.— Belle Boyd, late
of V'rgiuia,and well known during the

federate secret service, has been sent to
the Insane Asylum in California*
Potash Farrow, tins Attorney General,
has furnished a written opinion to tho ef
fect that ordinaries had no right to charge
circuses more than ten dollars for county
licenses in addition to the tax imposed by
the State upon exhibitions.
The official returns of Wyoming Terri
tory gives Niekolls, Democrat, for Con*
gross, tire handsome majority of 1838, out
of a total rote of 5764.

We, the Grand Jury chosen, selected and sworn
for the October Term, 1869, beg leave to present

Ist. That the jury for the first week having s
fully discharged the duties encumbent upon them
hare left nothing more to present, but tbe butche
pen of Messrs. Harrell & Robison, on the road and
near Humphrey’s Ferry, as a nuisance, it being B
near Ihe public road leading to said terry, that it
is extremely dangerous for persons passing wit
horses, and to the injury of said ferry.
2nd. The last jury having stated in their pre
sentments that Judge Joel Johnson, the Oidiuary,
would present u» this week with his report. w e beg
leave to say that the report has been submitted,
and a committee from our body has examined hi*
books, and so far as they have beeu able to exam
ine the same have found them neatly kept;J but so
far as the report is concerned we have not time to
examine the vouchers, or the legality of the same,
it being handed to us only on the last day ot tne
Court, hence we hereby attach the report to our
proceedings for the information of the people ot
our countv and the Grand Jury at the uext term
of our Court, and request that these proceedings
and the report attached be published m the city

I HAVE again opened in Bainbridge a Real Estate
Agency. lam perfectly familiar with the lo
cation and quality of the lands of the counties of
Decatur. Miller, Mitchell, Baker, Dougherty, Cal
houn. Early, Thomas, Colquitt, Berrien, Irwin and
I invite capitalists from the North" West and
South, to come and settle up our valuable and
cheap cotton lands. The planters in these counties
have, with very few exceptions, made money this
year and are doing as well as they did previous to
the war ; I have for sale some places from four to
twenty miles ot Bainbridge, some on the East and
some on the West side of Flint river, among them

under a good state of cultivation, 7 mileagfrom
Bainbridge.

One lot of 1,850 acres, 050 acres cleared, a good

lace. A large portion of the land on this place is
oak and hickory.
One lot of 1,200 acres, with good improvements,
good orchard, and 400 acres of improved land.
One lot of 1,217 acres, 300 acres cleared land, a
good nice mill upon it. A good stock of cattle and
and hogs, will be sold with the place, also corn po
tatoes, &c.
One lot of 250 acres, 100 of which is open.
City property for sale, both improved and unim
proved.
All of the above property is offered low. Farm
