carriage. The man was instantly killed,
and his wife is now a raving maniac.

Bucbu, in vacuo. , Juniper berries by distillation,
to, form a fine gin. Cubebs extracted by displace
ment with spirits obtained from Juniper Berries
very little Sugar housed, a small proportion o
spirit. It is mopalatable than auy now to use.
Bucliu, as prepared by druggists, is of a dark
color. It Is a plant that emits itir fragrance ; the
action of a flame destrdVs thtS (its active principal)
leaving a dark and glutinous decoction. Mine is
the color of ingredients. The Buebu in my
paiation predomiriiites ; the smallest quantity of
the other ingredients are added, to prevent fomen
tation ;«pon inspection, it will be found not to be
a Tincture, as made in Pharmacopccea, nor is it a
Syrup-and theiefore can be used incases where
fever or infiamination exists. Ifi this, you have tbe
