Wasn’t it great seeing your friends with a cup of hot coffee or a cold coke? Boy Scout Troop #210 meets each Monday at 7 p.m. at the Leesburg United Methodist Church Learning Center. The American Legion meets each first Monday at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Building. The Lee County Historical So ciety normally meets each second Thursday at 7 p.m. But will not meet in July. Prayer Breakfast for the Youth of the Leesburg United Method ist Church is held each Thursday at 7:15 a.m. Prayer Breakfast for the men of the First Baptist Church is held each Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. A Farewell Luncheon for Ron and Jackie Dillard was held last Sunday. They are moving to North Georgia. They have been very faithful members of the Leesburg United Methodist Church. Hope you had a nice and safe Fourth of July! What a great day for America! CTSod 15237 Mrim Fill-A-Bus Project Benefits Students Victory Impact Ministries, an evangelistic outreach ministry of Victory Tabernacle, is again working on an exciting project that will impact numerous fami lies in Lee, Dougherty and Worth Counties. Last year, they filled a school bus with school supplies for students that were in need of assistance in the Lee, Dougherty and Worth County School Sys tems. For their efforts, Victory Tabernacle received numerous letters of thanks from principals and teachers. Many students re ceived the school supplies. Because the need is so great, the goal this year is to fill three school buses with school sup plies. The principals and teach ers will distribute the supplies to those students who need them during the 2001-2002 school term. The school supplies will be do nated by individuals, businesses and Victory Tabernacle. One hun dred percent of donations will go to the students. Lee Countians can be a part of Project-A-Bus. Donations should be made to Victory (for Fill A Bus and mailed to Victory Tabernacle Assembly of God at 3250 Sylvester Road, Albany, Georgia 31705. Contribution statements will be mailed at the end of 2001. School supplies needed include wide ruled notebook paper, fold ers - 3 prong with pockets, cov ered pencil sharpeners, plastic safety scissors, pens, pencils, markers, composition books, boxes of tissue, erasers and rul ers. Drop-off box locations include Winn Dixie - Leesburg and Bill’s Dollars Store in Leesburg. Look for the bright yellow box. In appreciation, a list of the par ticipants will be given to the school boards. Johnson - Eautsch ‘Exchange ‘Wedding Vozvs Heidi Lynn Pautsch of Franklin, Tennessee, and Jeremy Charles Johnson of Spring Hill, Tennessee, were united in mar riage on May 19, 2001. The 4 o’clock ceremony was per formed by Reverend Amos Jarman at Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Johnson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Pautsch of Troy, Michigan. Mr. Johnson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson of Spring Hill, Tennes see. Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a white satin gown that was sleeveless and featured a scooped neckline. The bust was covered in lace, se quins, and pearls. The drop waist of the skirt was accented with thin lines of lace and beading separated in vertical lines on the skirt. The full skirt featured box pleats and was trimmed at the bottom in the same lace. The back of the dress was V-shaped and trimmed in pearls and se quins. Three rosettes accented the waist at the back of the dress with two satin sashes and four satin ribbons. The train was cov ered in lace and pearls. The shoulder length veil was made of bridal illusion tulle and fell from a circular head piece accented with pearls and rhinestones. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white Eskimo roses, white hybrid lilies, stephanotis, and Queen Anne’s lace with vari ous types of greenery including a fan of palmetto palms, adorned with white tulle and white seer french ribbons. For sentiment, the bride carried a handkerchief brought from Russia by the groom’s mother in her bouquet and a ten pence coin in her shoe. Jennifer Jankowski, of Mil waukee, Wisconsin, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Waszczuk of Franklin, Tennes see: Jennifer Allen of Royal Oak, Michigan; Dawn Birk of Madison heights, Michigan; and Mary Lobbestael of Royal Oak, Michi gan. The bridesmaids carried cascad ing bouquets of yellow french tu lips and yellow fufi mums and blue bird roses with purple statice and greenery that included pal metto palm to match the bridal bouquet. Charles Johnson, father of the groom, served as best man. Ush ers were David Norris, of India napolis, Indiana, cousin of the groom, and Barry Huntzinger of Columbia, Tennessee. Grooms men were Ryan Tindell of Lees burg, Tennessee; Frank Griffin of Albany, Georgia; Chris Winters of Clemson, South Carolina; and Tim Pautsch of Troy, Michigan. Ashley Johnson of Columbia, Tennessee was the flower girl, and Joseph Norris, cousin of the groom, of Indianapolis, Indiana, served as ring bearer. Music for the ceremony was performed by Michael Graham, organist, and Cathy Anne Graham and Ted Wilson, soloists. The wedding reception was held at the Old Natches Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee. After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple are residing in Atlanta, Georgia. The bride is a financial analyst with General Motors Corporation in Doraville, Georgia, and the groom is a doc tor of chiropractor student at Life University, Marietta, Georgia. The rehearsal dinner was held at Antebellum Rippavilla Plantation. The staff dressed in 1860 circa dress and gave candlelight tours of the house after the meal. A bridesmaids’ breakfast was held the morning of the wedding at the Opryland Hotel in Nash ville, Tennessee. Those attending the breakfast were the brides maids, the mother, grandmother, and aunt of the groom and invited guests. The bride was presented with a corsage and received a gift of her china. Untimely Move When you have to transplant woody plants in hot weather, drape them with a wet sheet af ter you plant them, say experts with the University of Georgia Extension Service. Dampen the sheet two or three times a day, keeping the plant covered for hftifies serveral days. This will help the plants survive the untimely move.
