Richard Henry Taylor, Jr., 73, of Leesburg, Georgia, died Sunday, September 23, 2001 at Palmyra Nursing Home. The funeral service for Mr. Tay lor was held Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church on Westover Blvd. with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Lowery officiated. A native of Albany, Mr. Taylor was a retired businessman. He founded the Little Red Dog House and Albany Radiator. He was a naval base employee and former paratrooper. He served in the 101st Airborne during World War II. He was a member and former deacon of First Christian Church of Albany. His daughter Pamela Ellen Taylor preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Palmer Taylor of Leesburg, a daughter, Lynne Taylor Lippert and her husband Steve of Ft. Worth, Texas, a son, Richard H. Taylor, III and his wife Fran of Leesburg, a brother, John Robert Taylor and his wife Judy of Bainbridge, Georgia; nine grand children, seven great-grandchil dren, numerous nieces and neph ews. SNIDER Ruth E. Snider, 75, of Griffin, Georgia, died Saturday, Septem ber 21, 2001 at the Spalding Re gional Hospital in Griffin, Geor gia. The funeral service for Mrs. Griffin was held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Palmyra Road United Methodist Church with interment at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Marshall Singletary officiated. A native of Crisp County, Mrs. Snider had lived in Lee County for many years before moving to Griffin with her daughter in 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of Palmyra Road United Methodist Church. She was pre ceded in death by her husband John N. Snider in 1979. Survivors include a daughter, Diane S. McCoy of Griffin, a sis ter, Elease Glover of Leesburg, Georgia, a brother, Payton B. Vansant of Valley, Alabama, a granddaughter, Julie Brown and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna Brown, all of Griffin. MARION JOINER CANNON Marion (Nanny) Joiner Cannon, 91, of Arlington, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at her residence. The funeral service for Mrs. Cannon was held Thursday at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church with in terment in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Finbarr Stanton offici ated. A native of Birmingham, Ala bama, Mrs. Cannon had lived in Arlington for the past two years and was a former resident of Lees burg for many years. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Her husband was the late James Bartow Cannon. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Dallas and her husband. Jay of Arlington; stepdaughters, Cathy Smith of Leesburg and Ann Williams of Decatur; two step sons, Lamar Cannon of Albany and Charles Cannon of Leesburg; sister, Martha McGraw of Albany; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
