In a land where displaying the Ten Commandments brings on a legal battle. In a land where the courts op pose any connection between Church and State. In a land where freedom rings for all but the religious affilia tions. Terror Strikes and the first words we hear from those for merly opposing the association of Church and State are GOD BLESS AMERICA! In fact, they stand publicly and sing GOD BLESS AMERICA! Friends. God has blessed America and will continue to do so as long as there are people that will humble themselves and call upon his name. Scripture tells us that we must first become humble. Then we must prepare for battle. THANK YOU MR. PRESI DENT! This should be the cry of each and every American. President George W. Bush has taken the time and demonstrated a humble heart. He has called this nation to prayer to help learn how to fight the battle. He demonstrates a faith as he slowly places the helmet of salvation on this nation. His un relenting call for prayer to make the right decisions is a testament to his beliefs and personal asso ciation with a God that can handle the problems of this nation. He campaigned on a pledge to re unite this nation and to put trust back in the oval office! Not only has he established this, the unifi cation brought to a nation that prays together has also started to form a breastplate of righteous ness. This breastplate must be in place before we confront the en emy. We are not fighting a person or a group of people here in this war; we are fighting powers and prin cipalities. We will fight the Rul ers of darkness that hide them selves and plan for opportunities to do more damage. President Bush has established the thought from nation to nation that was so beautifully stated in a poem years ago, “No man is an Island!” We must pray for each other and reach out to our neighbors for as sistance and to assist. This at tempt to establish the links be tween the nations and our neigh bors is an effort to gird our loins. As a nation, we now begin to shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel by taking the time to realize that victory can only be obtained, if God leads, guides, and directs our every move. President Bush has humbled himself and taken the position that as a people we must lift him up to God. Our prayers should be that God will give him the vision to seek out and destroy all of the evil that terrorist bring into this world. Many have said that Presi dent Bush and all of the other rul ers cannot rid this world of ter rorist. To that I will reply, with out God’s help the statement would be true. President Bush believes this also, that is why he has called the nation to prayer. His administration will claim a spot in the history pages of this nation. Many in this nation have met the President’s call to prayer, but the President’s call to prayer has been echoed through the halls of other nations as well. The Dec laration of Dependence upon a God that can deliver the enemies into the hands of judgment has been declared. fied as, “WE THE PEOPLE. IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION, UNITE OURSELVES!” We must not for get that there are those, which oppose the actions of our Presi dent, and there are those that fear an all out war with other nations. We must hear from them and use their thoughts to balance the peace of mind that we as a nation must have in order to resolve to rid the world of the evil of terror ism. The check and balance system established by our forefathers once again proves to establish it self as divinely directed to uphold the ability for this government to last. Should we choose to divide the nation and each do what is best in our own eyes, instead of unifying the nation, we will self- destruct as all the nations before us have. We must hold not only our President up before God, but we must lift up each of the branches of the Government and all of the leaders of this nation. We must pause and evaluate our position and call upon God to di rect our paths. Once again, this nation is uni- GOD BLESS AMERICA!
