What a wonderful, beauti ful and patriotic parade it was! We could not have asked for more wonderful weather! The sun shone bright, no wind and no rain! Mrs. Joy Breeden was in charge. All schools and different businesses were represented. School bands and different school organizations marched in it. My husband, J.M. Rhodes, and I led the parade as Grand Marshals. We are both veterans of WWII. I felt very honored!
