Holiday Festival
Scheduled
Twin Oaks Elementary School will host a Holiday Festival
Saturday, December 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In addition to a Live and Silent Auction, there will be enter
tainment, crafts, food, games, and a cake walk. There will be
fun for the entire family.
The Holiday Festival will be held at Twin Oaks Elementary
School. Come join the fun.
Eloise Alfieri and Phyllis Harcrow recently celebrated
their birthdays at Sip of Grace. Others attending were

On Monday, November 19, Mrs. Murdock's class at
LCPS had a special Thanksgiving story and
homemade treats and turkey hats to go with it all.
Mrs. Diane McHughes, whose son Austin is in Mrs.
Murdock's first grade class, read "The Night Before
Thanksgiving" to the class. She made edible
"turkeys" out of Oreo cookies, rice krispie treats and
candy corn. She also made the cutest turkey hats for
all the students. Pictured is Mrs. McHughes as she
reads the Thanksgiving story to the class.
LCHS to Host Cheer Classic
Lee County High School will compete,
hosts its Third Annual Lee County
Cheer Classic on Saturday. De
cember 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lee
Sarah Rudd and her mother Carole Rudd celebrated
Sarah’s twelfth birthday at the Sip of Grace Tea Room.

The funeral service of Annie
Laura Bryan Ginn, 91, of Edison,
who died Wednesday, November
21, 2001 was held at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday at Morgan Baptist
Church. Joseph S. Dukes, III of
ficiated. Interment followed in the
church cemetery.
A native of Arlington, Ga., Mrs.
Ginn had resided in the Dickey
Community, between Morgan
and Edison, for the past 75 years.
She was a homemaker, a mem
ber of the Morgan Baptist Church
and was preceeded in death by her
husband Elijah Mathis Ginn.
Survivors include: two sons -
Ronald Bryan Ginn of Augusta
and Millen, Ga. and E. Michael
Ginn of Morgan, Ga.; one daugh
ter - Dr. Patricia Ginn Moody of
Columbia, SC; two brothers -
Hugh Bryan of Leesburg and Joe
Bryan of Damascus; two sisters -
Audrey Fulford of Albanyand
Sarah Houston of Thomasville;
eight grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren.

The funeral service of Elbert H.
Williams, Jr., 67. of Lee County,
who died Thursday, November
21, 2001, was conducted Friday
at 3:30 pm at the Leesburg First
United Methodist Church. Rev.
Russ Elkins and Rev. Bobby
Moye officated. Interment fol
lowed in Leesburg Cemetery with
Masonic rites.
A native and lifelong resident
of Lee County, Mr. Williams was
a retired farmer and had worked
with the ASC office for many
years. He was a member and head
usher at the Leesburg First United
Methodist Church. Mr. Williams
was a member and Past Master
of Chehaw Lodge #701 F&AM.
He was a 32nd degree Scottish
Rite Mason and was a member
and former Ambassador At Large
of Hasan Shrine Temple. He was
presently serving as President of
the Lee Counry Shrine Club. Mr.
Wiiliams was a charter member
of the Lee County Lions Club and
was a member of the Republican
Party and he was the first van
driver for the Senior Citizens
Center from its conception and
held that position until recently.
Survivors include his wife,
Mary E. Williams of Leesburg;
two sons. Thomas E. Williams of
Albany and Edward (Eddie) H.
Williams of Lynn Haven, FL; two
daughters. Elizabeth Adams of
Leary and Jennifer Karst of Lees
burg; two step-sons, Wayne Hunt
and David Hunt both of Lees
burg; nine grandchildren, Micki
Williams, Leighanna Murphree,
Sara Maarie Williams, Aja
Adams, Tripp Adams, Dawn
Adams, Justin Adams, Mercedes
Karst and Haley Hunt.

William Alvin (Unk) Sanders,
74, died last Tuesday. November
20, 2001, at Lee County Health
Care. The funeral service was
held at 11:00 am Friday at
Matthews Funeral Home. Rev.
Paul Wilkes and Rev. A1
Wilbourn officated. Interment
followed in Floral Memory Gar
dens.
A native of Worth County, Mr.
Sanders had lived in Albany since
1938. He was a retired school
teacher having taught biology at
Albany High and Lee County
High schools. Mr. Sanders was a
member of the Loyal Order of the
Moose, a member of Masonic
Lodge #591 F&AM. He was a
32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason
and he was a member of Hasan
Shrine Temple. Mr. Sanders was
a Presbyterian. He was preceeded
in death by his sister, Renell
Smith.
Survivors include: a sister,
Doris Russell Saunders of Al
bany; three nieces, Donna Wood
and Lisa Sampson both of Lees
burg and Sandra Reed of Albany;
two nephews. Berry Jackson of
Tallahasee, FI. and Wayne Smith
of Putney.

Hubert c. McDaniel
The funeral service of Hubert
C. McDaniel, 70, who died Fri
day. November 23,2001 was con
ducted Monday at 2:00 PM at
Porterfield Memorial United
Methodist Church (Chapel). Rev.
Nancy J. Scabrough officiated.
Interment followed in Leesburg
Cemetery.
A native of Bibb County. Ga.,
Mr. McDaniel had resided in the
Atlanta and Morrow area most of
his life. Mr. McDaniel was a
Pressman and retired from Color
Graphics in 1992. Mr. McDaniel
was a member of the National
Rifle Association.
Survivors include, his wife,
Barbara McDaniel of Albany: a
daughter and son-in-law, Kelly
M. and Ed Fox of Albany: and
two granddaughters, Schayne
Fox and Shelby Fox both of Al
bany.
