A School for Children continues the Summer Venture Camp for a fourth year. However, the new
partnership with the Albany ARC has afforded the Venture Camp to expand services to children
with unique abilities and autism. “We just could not have expanded at this rate without the support
and under girding of the Albany ARC, “says Dr. Faison, “This is a partnership where everyone
wins, especially the children in the Dougherty/Lee County community.”

“My wife Melissa and I have lived in Lee County for
26 years. Our two daughters, Danielle Rachals Rudd and
Daphne Rachals, live in Lee County. Both attended and
graduated from Lee County Schools and will soon be
graduating from Georgia Southwestern State University
with degrees in education and psychology. We have two
wonderful grandchildren, Hunter and Christal, and son-in-
law Michael Rudd!
I have dedicated 18 years of service to Lee County,
and I am excited about the opportunity to dedicate more.
I am seeking the office of sheriff for the job, not for the
position. I believe the citizens of Lee County deserve a
sheriff who is personally accountable, available, and will
work for all the citizens of Lee County.
As Sheriff I would work diligently to strengthen working
relationships with other local, state and federal agencies
to keep our community safe; work continuously, employ
ing modern techniques, to keep drugs off our streets and
out of Lee County on an ongoing basis.
The Sheriff’s Office would be more involved with the
Lee County School System, interacting with the children
from Kindergarten through High School. We would imple
ment the Dare Program for the younger ages; work with
other local agencies on the Explorer Program for Middle
School and step up our connection with the High School
ages with Real Action Education, presenting films and
speaking on the consequences of mixing drugs, alcohol,
and speeding while driving; visit schools and let students
know that the Sheriffs Office open door policy extends to
them; set up a website for all citizens to access informa
tion concerning court dates, court cases, sex offenders
registry and any other information citizens might need;
eliminate wasteful spending and pursue State and Fed
eral Grants to help provide the most modern technology
available to fight crime and supplement tax payers dollars;
provide a professional and accountable Sheriff’s Office for
the Lee County citizens making sure that all citizens are
treated fairly.
Be assured as Sheriff I will serve and protect all citizens
of Lee County. My number one goal is to keep our com
munity safe. Thanks for your support and do not forget to
vote July 15th!”
