Public Notice
for Tax Appeal
The Lee County Board of Equalization
will meet on Thursday July 10th at 6:
00 PM at the Lee County Administra
tion Building, 2nd floor conference
room for the purpose of hearing
scheduled Tax appeals as presented
by appraisal staff of Lee County Tax
Assessor's Office.
Sara Clark, secretary
Lee County Board of Equalization
er diameter than 10-pound
mono, so when I am deep
cranking for summer bass, I get
extended casting distances and
the bait dives more quickly.
And because the line is hard, it
is extremely abrasion resistant.
I like to bounce crankbaits
off of any type of underwater
structure and need a line that
can take repeated run ins with
stumps and rocks.
The sensitivity of the Trilene
100% fluorocarbon allows me
to detect what kind of structure
I am banging into with my
crankbait, to detect bottom
composition whenever I come
into contact with the bottom
and to detect when I have a
bass playing with my bait. It
takes a lot of practice, but with
Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon,
you can actually feel when
you have a bass in pursuit of
a crankbait. With the bass
swimming behind the bait, it
is almost as though the fish is
drafting like a racecar driver
would draft behind another
car during a race. The drafting
slightly alters the action and
feel of the crankbait and lets
me know - through the sensi
tivity in the line - if I need to
slow down and give the fish a
chance to catch up and get the
hooks in its mouth.
I’m really excited about the
new Trilene 100% fluorocarbon
and have been using it for quite
some time. It’s the best fluoro
carbon I’ve ever used. All the
guys on tour feel the same way
and the guys who don’t have it
are begging and borrowing all
they can from the guys who do
have it. I use the 10-pound test
for deep cranking most often
and I have a lot of confidence
in it. Having confidence in a
line is an important thing when
you have to lean on a fish to get
it to the boat.
My deep cranking set up con
sists of an Abu Garcia REVO
STX on a 7-foot medium-fast
rod with a fast tip. With the
Trilene 100% fluorocarbon line
on the REVO and a long, stiff
casting rod, I can cast those
big, deep-diving crankbaits a
long way, and the rod gives me
the sensitivity I need to detect
the strikes and to be able to set
the hook.
Fluorocarbon line is perfectly
suited for fishing summer’s
conditions and Trilene 100%
Fluorocarbon line is the best
I’ve ever used for everything
from fishing plastics to crank
ing. I’ve been lucky enough
to spend a lot of time using
it, fishing with it in tourna
ments and made-for-TV fishing
contests and use it almost
exclusively now. It’s the edge I
need when fishing for finicky
summer bass.

Andy Koundourakis and
Jake Jeter won the Thursday
nite big fish tournament with
4.68 lbs. on top water frog.
Sometimes life around
the water gets real compli
cated, this week while outside
watchin the sun come up,
1 saw a wading white egret
shoot his bill out and pluck
something from the weeds he
was wading on, he jumped
and took to wing with a 2 foot
snake in his mouth. I have
seen a blue heron ketch one on
2 or 3 occasions.
Many bass was taken this
week twixt showers. The top
water bite is very good for
those that know when and
where to go. However the
bream again over power the
bass as a meat fish this week,
many limits were taken on
crickets and a few on wig-
glers.
The fish tale of the week
comes from Wayne Barwick,
who sez he caught 2 and a half
hybreds on a Jiggen spoon. I
ask him to explain, he landed
the first 2 outright and the
third one came off at the boat
and lay on top of the water
he flounced out of the water
hit the side of the boat back
into water, then he flounced
again up in the air and fell
inside of the boat. 2 and a half
hybreds!!!
Judge Completes Race
Among those completing
in the 39th Peachtree Road
Race, this year was our
own Superior Courts Judge
Rucker Smith. This was
Judge Smith’s 21st Peachtree,
his 16th in a row. He has
run every Peachtree Road
Race, except one, since 1984,
only missing the 1992 race.
The Peachtree Road Race in
Atlanta is the world’s largest
10 K road race, topping off at
55,000 runners.
Judge Smith said “The
race is a healthy way to
express your patriotism. It is
a pleasure to participate with
so many people in what has
become such an annual tradi
tion. With God’s blessings,
Judge Smith featured
in his fashionably
patriotic running
shorts.
